Is the wet bottom ( urine)always concentrated even when the rabbit is just starting to show symptoms?

Yep,i would talk to your vet about it....just to be sure..you knowoh boy, now I'm a little concerned!! I think I'm going to see if my vet can run the Titer test on my baby just to be sure.
To be completely honest, I'm not sure th EC blood titer is worth it. My bf's bunny had it, and it was expensive, and all it tells you is that they've been exposed to EC at some point in their life. Almost every bunny has been exposed to EC, especially if they were ever in a shelter. And being exposed to it doesn't mean they'll actually contract the disease. I would invest in liver and kidney function tests first, then appointments with a rabbit specialist, personally. Just MHO.

PS: Angieluv, if you are looking for a specialist, you could take Gabriel to the UW Madison Vet School's hospital. They're really good and I know they're aware of EC. They do the titer too, if you really want it.
Just a thought to those of you who had a rabbit pass, and then the the other rabbits in the hosehold started wetting, could this be behavioral in your rabbits also because they miss the rabbit that passed away??
I do agree with you there..i just don't see it as being behavioural..but then i don't really know either...like i said unless it was a medical issue or a weak bladder or something.I don't know if it is behavioral.
I guess that if a rabbit was depressed and grieving he might just sit in urine and not use the box....but I have never heard of this.
I have never had a rabbit just sit and wet himself and sit in it unless they had a medical problem. Gabriel does this at times but at other times he doesn't, however I too think that there is something not normal with him.
Wait for more replies on this one ..maybe someone has a rabbit that does this.'I think that they could wet outside the litterbox and that could be behavioral but to wet outside the litterbox and sit in it doesn.t seem normal.
I don't think that I'm being really helpful
