Don't think anyone answered about the lip-smacking noise. I'm not so sure about lip-smacking, but if it was accompanied by a sort of teeth chattering that sounds almost like purring, then yes, that does indicate happiness. :)

I wouldn't push a bunny into doing something he or she isn't comfortable with. It would be good to gradually get your bunny used to being picked up so that you can do it when absolutely necessary (like at the vet's, for example, or when clipping claws). As for holding a bunny for snuggling time...

What other flowers are safe? We've got lots of flowers around our place. I've been giving them dandelion flowers, will give them roses once those are out. I didn't give them apple blossoms because I read somewhere than they can have cyanide precursors in them, I think they might be mildly toxic...
