    what is it with

Oh yeah they are a huge favorite here too! All I have to do is bring out the bag and all of them are going nuts! I agree though you better count your fingers after feeding them! I give one or two a day. Or if they haven't had it for a while maybe 5 at once. They love them so much I...

"Peanut" a good name for a boy bunny?

Hehe Yeah he's pretty small, I think he was the runt of the litter. Espeically when we first got him as a puppy, just so tiny! But he's also all brown. Small, brown dog... Peanut just seemed to fit! :D

    Alternative to hay???

Have you tried the hay cubes? Since they are so compressed you don't get all the dust flying around. There are also different kinds of hay you can feed, if you are just allergic to Timothy. There are other grass type hays, oat hays ect.. Really there isn't much of a substitute for hay...

Need some opinions on bunny toys!

I've been looking in to the grass mats and baskets myself. The ones posted gives me some good ideas on what to get my bunch!! Mine LOVE the paper towel and toilet paper rolls, with or without haystuffed in them. They too rip them up and ingest some, but it's neverhurt them. I can hear them all...

Tinkerbell is suddenly acting afraid. :(

I don't understand it really. This was a bunnythat would sit on my lap for hours watching TV and enjoying beingpetted. Never minded being picked up even. Bunny kisses all the time. Suddenly I went to pet her, while she was in her cage and she ran awayfrom me. I left her alone thinking she might...

I was too upset to tell you all before but now I'm ready

Aww I'm so sorry to hear that happened! Poor Rice! But I'm glad that she's okay now! Honestly I probably wouldn't try to bond them after that. She mayalways remember that incedent. Sometimes the whole bonding thing justdoesn't work out, no matter how hard we try. Just like people rabbitscan all...

Can you ceep two boy bun buns together????

Two unneutered male rabbits will almost alwaysfight. Even if they are brothers, and have lived together since birth.Once the hormones kick in, they can fight terribly. And really hurt oneanother. I would keep them apart until they are neutered, and given some timeafterwards for the hormones to...

    hurting rabbit

Hi, I'm sorry that happened to you! I personally don't like to use any shavings. Cedar is a bad one to use, however I have known quite a few people that used pine and did not haveany ill effects. I use vinegar all the time to clean with, it is very safe and is goodon carpet stains! I'm not...

How do you store your pellets & How long do you keep them?

I buy a 50lb bag, which usually lasts me about 2 months, and I just store it in its original bag. Thought about getting a huge container for it, but never have.

Theshipping is was sold me on buying it from there, most online storeswanted more for shipping then the price of the hay. But it was reallyreasonable. Plus I got a few small bags of Oxbow...

    Giving pumpkin...

I don't start introducing veggies till at least6 months of age, sometimes longer depending on the rabbit and how theirtummy is. And then I would start with romaine and see how they handleit, then introduce other veggies slowly.

It can be so hard to get them to listen, don't theyknow were always right?! :D My Mom has 2 rabbits, and her husband is constantly giving them storebought treats. They aren't the youngest of bunnies, both being around5-6 years old. Not that it's good for any rabbit to get that muchtreats, but...

Ahhhh Andy is adorable, looks a lot like my Tinkerbell! Only Andy looks to have a little longer fur! :) I think it's awesome that your fostering him, I think it's really goodfor them to get some time out of the shelter life. I've been thinkingabout fostering a rabbit myself from our local...

    The age-old question...sorry guys!!

I feed them all the regular Timothy hay, andthen alfalfa cubes on the side. They love to chew away on them, I'vealways kinda thought it was good for their teeth. And it keeps thembusy for hours. While I would still feed Timothy as straight hay, Iwould think it would be fine to give the alfalfa...

    My bunnies won't be friends!!

Yep, that's pretty typical with male rabbitsonce those hormones kick in. I'd give it several weeks for the hormonesto get out of their systems before trying to bond again, now that theyare neutered. It can be a slow process to rebond them, and even thenthere is always the chance that they may...
