    Gi stasis :(

Well, it finally happened to me :( . I believe my bun is in gi stasis. She's eight years old and has been very healthy the whole time. The other day she started to refuse food and wasn't eating her hay. Today there are no poops in her litter box after 8 hours :( . I just massaged her belly...

    Oops, be very careful....

Hello all, I just wanted to give a heads up. If it looks like clover and everyone back to your great grandpa calls it clover, it might not be clover!!!!! I just found out that I have been feeding by rabbit Oxalis stricta, yellow wood sorrel. My rabbit loves it and eats it like it is going out of...

    Clover

We have wild clover all over the place where I live. Right now it's growing in some empty flower pots. It's the clover that gets the little yellow flowers. I was wondering if it is safe and healthy to feed to my rabbit. Ps. I use no type of insecticides.

    Question about alfalfa

I actually have two questions, the first: My bun is about 3 years old and I have only given her orchard grass and Timothy hay as she was older when I got her. A friend gave me a half used bag of alfalfa. Can I give my bun small amounts along with her other hay? Second question, I stopped...

    I'm back, bunny update...and question

Hi, probably none of you remember me and I've been gone for quite awhile from the forum. My lion head bun named cleopatra has been doing very well. A few months back I noticed she was limping and I took her to the vet. She had somehow broken her leg but the vet said that it was healing well and...

Been awhile since i've been here....

Hello. Haven't been online for a long while but me and my bun are doing well. Took Cleo in for her summer grooming. Nail cut and shaving of the private parts, which brought a question to my mind. I always assumed that bunnies groomed themselves like cats. But when I take cleo in they always have...

    Fleas....

well, the dogs have brought fleas home from daycare.... I did a search and found out that I should get revolution. What I couldn't figure out is the dosage. Do I use the whole tube on a 6 lb. rabbit? Do I get regular cat or do I get kitten? Thank you.

    This ain't no dwarf

Well, today was grooming day. I took Cleo into get her nails trimmed and get her butt shaved. I was told when I got her that she was a dwarf lionmane lol. At the groomers I weighed her .... 6.4lbs. She's getting to be quite the big girl. In November she will be a year and a half old so i'm...

    So freaked out

 omg i'm traumatized right now! Just cut my buns nails, what a horrible experience. Cleo hates to be picked up but that part went great. Then came the nail cutting..... The squirming and flying hair ( so much hair) and kicking..... I was afraid I was squishing her, she kicked a so bad my...

    Inviting trouble

I just redid my reptile/arachnid wall, slowly making everything more pleasing to look at. Now I want to move my armchair so that I can see my tanks, but this is the chair that Cleo sleeps behind and where she relaxes to chew on her phonebook. I really want to move the chair but I have a feeling...

    Chew snacks

I was thinking of getting my bun one of those chew shacks/logs but when I read the ingrediants it said it had pine shavings in it. Is it safe/ok to let ur bun chew on pine? I know they can't live on it but I wanted to check first before I bought one. Thank you.

    Question about teeth

I'm curious...i've been hearing that rabbit teeth are like horse's teeth. Plus many ppl seem to have rabbits with molar spurs.Does this mean that rabbits regularly need their teeth "floated"? If so, how often? Sorry if this seems like a silly question.

    Lionmanes

I'm curious, my Cleopatra has such a whispy mane. She is a year old and instead of having a bushy stuffed animal mane she looks like a adolescent male lion- with some whispy hairs in front of her ears. I'm wondering if I should wait to fix her, if her mane will get thicker in time?

    Kitty cube

I just bought a kitty cube for my bun Cleo, i'm hoping she likes it and will play with it. She is sniffing it and pushing it around so i'm hopeful. Does anyone else have one of these and does ur bunny like it?

    of hormones and deamon bunnies

Well Cleo is now 8 months old and she has become a deamon bun! LOL She growls when i feed her, when i walk past her, and when i look at her "wrong". She's decided that the couch is hers and i'm no longer welcome on it. If i do manage to get on the couch she will tug on my clothes, push and claw...

    Behavior question

Recently my 6mo. old bun started chasing the cats. She will run up to them and bump them in the back legs. She also has begun to place her front paws on the cats' shoulders. When the cats react she starts jumping around and the game continues till she gets tired or the cats run off. I'm just...

    Hello

My name is melissa. I purchased my first rabbit 3 months ago. Her name is Cleopatra and she is turning out to be an amazing pet. I vastly underestimated bunny personality and intelligence before I had the pleasure of owning one.
