No, I think they're really in a great home so I'm not too unhappy about it.
My problem now? I did a heck of a lot of reading up on rehoming/rescue. I'm not that pleased with the information I read. There's too many rabbits just being dumped without any care to where they go. Rescues are filled...
This is resolved.
I did rehome. Of course I'm conflicted by having done it but I did find a super home for them which is the only reason I let them go. Basically, I marketed my buns pretty aggressively to get the most inquiries. Then, I weeded through people like mad with my interrogation...
This is all too funny. Peeing down floor vents? Now that I have bunnies, I could see them doing this and making cheeky comments after the fact. Bun's have the funniest of ATTITUDE, docile or otherwise. It cracks me up! I think of some of the buns I know (or meet) as little hooligans. The more...
Anyone at all into horses as well? I ask, since, bun's and equines are very very alike even regarding behavior in some ways. I've seen horses do binkies.
Let's see,
-neither can toss their lunch
-both eat hay and require plentiful roughage (both = hindgut fermenters)
-prey species
-generally...
Oh, I've hit the jackpot on info...

Do all bunnies love to sit on top of floor vents when the A/C is on? All of mine will lay on top of vents all day if they can. I've had bunnies in the past that did the same thing. It's just so cute for some reason.
"bunny burrito" It sounds so funny I find myself saying it just to laugh. That's my method for handling nail trimming. I'm a newbie at it, but so are the bun's I have. It's easier when they have no clue what you're about to do them. I'm just making the process as stress free and enjoyable as...
Kirbyultra, I have to agree with you! I do not know how on earth breeders/rescuers part with rabbits all the time. It's agonizing! I could do this only if I kept very few bunnies (rescue only for me, not anti-breeding, just feel like directing towards rescue because the problem is huge!) and...
He's a she. Oh no, I should get my bun's rechecked!!! They sometimes do things that make wonder if my vet really saw the right parts down there??? I do not want baby bunnies. And, yes, I want to get these buns speutered asap. I can't put a medieval style chastity belt on a bun? Guess...

I'm not a breeder and so I may sound extreme lol! Why are pet rabbits sold at such cheap prices? I know that prices for adoptable rabbits tend to hover around $50-80 each (covers spay/neuter) . I know breeders have to sell many of the rabbits because it would be...

I agree education is the best way, but sometimes you have to legislate. Of course, the only time that legislation is effective is with enforcement. Often times, laws are on the books but nobody backs them up (including law enforcement...and even animal control...
