    Toys

+1 on cardboard and paper. Phone books with the covers removed, toilet paper rolls, cardboard boxes with and entrance cut out..... all practically free.

When is a great time to let my bunny out?

I let mine out for an hour when I am home for lunch, and then the rest of the evening when I get home from work (7-8 hours). He knows the rule: If I'm home, then he's out of his cage. I live in an apartment, so there's not really any place for "outdoor time". As for the poop, it has already...

    Do you Kiss your rabbits?

I kiss my Charlie on his nose and head all the time. Especially when I'm ignoring him (not on purpose), and he starts crawling on me to give him attention. You can't say no to buns that want attention..... it's law.

    Thumping

My male is the same way. Nothing new in the house, no change in the position of the cage. He just randomly wakes me up a few nights thumping around 4-5am. He does it a few times and then stops.

Help some sort of nose growth.

By no means am I a vet, nor have I seen the sysmptoms you show in the pic but after some research, I found this: "Your rabbit is most likely infected by a virus called the Shope fibroma virus. It is in the same family as the viruses that cause warts in humans. The horn-like growths can appear...

    Bunny salad?

I don't want to get into the whole debate, but for every post saying kale is too high in calcium, there is another article saying why the amount of calcium isn't that important in this case. Off the top of my head, here's a post I just saw the other day on this site:

    What does your bunny love?

Lately, he enjoys thumping at 5am. Otherwise, my Charlie LOVES Craisins.

    Bunny salad?

My rabbit consistantly gets kale as the bulk green, with parsley and cilantro mixed in. I feed him 2 cups twice daily. Sometimes I swap out the kale with mustard greens or turnip greens. There is plenty of good reading on why kale doesn't have to be limited like some think.

    What are rabbits, to you?

I'm TERRIFIED of my new rabbit

While the neuter will help some, the main problem lies in the previous owner. Too often, rabbits are left alone in a corner of a room after the "honeymoon phase" wears off, making the rabbit revert to a somewhat wild state. Sit close to your rabbit, whether he's in the cage or not. Feed...

    most gentle/affectionate breed?

I don't think any particular breed has a certain temperament, it really depends on the individual rabbit. I have a Lionhead mix that can't get enough of being petted and loved on. It's just like cats..... some love human interaction, and some want nothing to do with you.

    Children's Playhouse as Rabbit Hutch

What a neat idea! I would even put a few levels inside of the playhouse.

Strange noises and suddenly mean :(

I would also agree with the above statement. Spaying will more than likely help. Your rabbit is at the age that a lot of people put their buns' on Craigslist because they think they will stay that way. Just a little research would show them that the problem is easily fixable, and spaying also...

    Greens. How often?

My rabbit is a little larger. I feed him around 2 cups of greens usually 2 times a day. I go home for lunch everyday and make him a salad when my food is cooking. Then I make him another when it's dinner time.

Help stop rabbit abandonmnent on CL

If you haven't seen lately, people are selling "Easter bunnies" on Craigslist at an alarming rate. We know where most of these rabbits end up.... back on Craigslist or in shelters because the kids "weren't responsible enough" or "the family doesn't have time anymore". Do your part and take 3...

what other pets do you have?

I have 2 Chihuahuas (Maverick and Ava), 1 rabbit (Charlie), a cat (Conan), a cockatiel (Rowdy), and 5 fish tanks ranging from 29 gallons to 135 gallons. It's a bit of work, but I love my animal family.
