Different things to bed rabbits on....

You know I was thinking of using some shredded newspaper because I'd really rather change mine daily. I put their hay in their litter boxes (in the one corner) so it'd be easier if I changed the whole thing daily. Thing is mine are diggers and I'd be afraid I'd find everything all over the...

    I'm so upset :-(

Oh my! I hope you can find her! I can't imagine why anyone would think that it'd be ok to just let a rabbit "go free"!! People really just don't think I guess. I too worry what will become of the guinea pig once the kids tires of it. :( And to think these are the PARENTS doing this...what...

In our litter boxes we used the kiln dried pine topped with feline pine pellets, then I cover it with a layer of hay. I use the old hay that I've swept up off their floor. This helps make everything a little more compact and they don't drag things out AS much. For the rest of the space I...

    NIC Cages Only-II

This was the first bunny condo we made. It was pretty simple and was great for a while but there just wasn't enough for her to do in there. Then we switched to this which was an open pen with a shelf for her to sit on and sleep on and stuff. This worked much better :) Then we were...

    Chalk's the odd one out

What about a deeper box? I have a storage type box that I'm going to try in my bunny's cage later today. She has this HUGE box that's such a pain in the butt so I am going to try this one because it's bigger then a regular box but not as huge as the one she currently has (the one she has now is...

    preparing for the bun

I would agree with NorthernAutumn on the food. Walmart has a decent alfalfa pellet...for baby bunnies but in the walmarts we have around here I have not seen ANY timothy based pellets. Rabbits that are over 7 mos should be switched over to Timothy based pellets because alfalfa is too high in fat...

Negative Change to Organize-It NIC Panels...

Oohhh ok..yea that definitely wouldn't work then :( Although..with mine the little ones don't work for that either. She's able to get her whole snout through the grids to chew at things. Although..it does atleast cut down on it and sometims she'll feel like it's too much work and not do it!

Introducing myself and my bunnies :)

I've been on here off and on but haven't really been active too much yet. I figured I'd go ahead and introduce myself and my buns :) First we got Tucker. She's a little black bunny with a white belly..kind of like a Silver Marten but smaller. Then we got Drue about a month ago...

    Chalk's the odd one out

Awww so cute..I especially love the second picture. Poor Chalk! LOL And I would say at least once a day my floor looks like that. And not just the bunny floor but my carpet from them dragging it around the whole room and my kitchen because it's apparently even MORE fun to dump the hay...

    Winterizing Hershey's Home

Yea, I'd think the same. Maybe if anything put in a little hidey house for him if he doesn't already have one? Then he could go snuggle in there if he was feeling a little cold. Mine don't eat fleece so they each have a fleece blankie that they can cuddle with or lay on. I think mostly it...

You could also maybe use those larger ones for the roof of the condo. The larger spaces would still prevent them from jumping out.

Frederick, MD AC: Many precious bunnies!

Ok let me talk to my husband about that drive..it's about 6.5 hours away from us. The problem that I'm seeing is how quickly we could get up there :( It'd have to be on a day off and next weekend we're having house guests for atleast one day if not the whole weekend up til Labor Day.
