Hi, Juno is on an appetite stimulant from the vets but is still ignoring pellets.up she's normally an unstoppable glutton for pellets.l Food is fresh, unchanged and her teeth are fine (vet even checked back teeth). She's not got snuffles, cunniculi, rhd or myxi as she was checked and is...

    Juno health update

My Juno has recovered fully from conjunctivitis, but has not been eating very well. I took her up the vets this night and I have be given an oral appetite stimulant for 6 days. An injection of it was done aswell. Her pregnancy seems to have been absorbed or a false pregnancy as the vet...

    Clothes biting, need help!

Thankfully Juno is feeling more herself (almost done with conjunctivitis treatment). Unfortunately, Her being herself means she playfully bites my clothes! Before this was fine as I had a fkeece, thick tshirt and teddy coat. But now it's warmer and I've not got the fleece or coat on as much and...

What colour are these "ticked" babies from a self + otter?

So my aunt has bred her black otter to a Black self dutch. In the litter their is the usual black, blue and black otter. But then theirs these two mystery buns. My first thought was agouti. But that's impossible as the parents are black otter and black self. So I thought of sable, tort or even...

    Black or chocolate himilayan?

Hi, I've had a Himalayan Netherland dwarf for over a year now. I've always assumed she was black point, as choc never came to mind due to being quite uncommon round where I am. But I've had three black rabbits, two self and one broken, so I'm a bit confused with her colour. I have a black self...

Sussed how to solve rabbit dominance problem

Hi, So people who have read about my last post know my mini rex juno is biting. We all know if dominance as she's at that nearly 5 months mark. You also know I live with parents who have policed my pet keeping: stopping me spaying. This will unfortunately NOT change- I've tried for years...

    Trying new "discipline" success

Hi, I'd like to say I am now no longer pushing Juno's head down when she bites. I am now just sternly saying no. This was due to her fearing my hand near her head. This was @Preitler idea. I am glad to say that it's working, she's happy with my hand again. I saw her laying in her bedding area...

    Stopping biting

Hi, Bit of context- I finally after many tries got a rex rabbit again. Was allowed to take a taxi for the first time. This took me outside of a 20 mile radius and an expensive round trip later led to my mini rex! She is a generally nervy bun. She has settled amazingly with me (unfortunately...

    Friendly bunny turned attention biter

Hi, Bit of back story- I live with my parents and can only do the best I can. The rabbits are not allowed inside (in future, an annex will allow housebunnies) and therefore I have given them best Hutches I can find. I have asked many times but to no avail - I'm not allow to spay (unless for...

    Brachycephalic explosion?

Hi, So I swear "normal" rabbit breeds used to be popular back in the day. But now it all seems to be mini lops, Netherland Dwarf or Lionhead all the time. But I don't understand, These breeds are the unhealthiest and few people have time to groom a dog or cat, let alone a lionhead. They're...

    Stop Excessive clothes chewing?

Hi, I have a new mini lop and am quite used to the occasional clothes nibble (This is my 11th bun) But this rabbit goes to the extreme, she has obliterated three t-shirts already. She's got a gnawing multi block thing on a chain that she chews daily and she's not really bored either. Her...

    Mini lop follow up

Hi, So I talked to the owner of the parents and she said that the breeder said they were dwarf lops. And that she thought they were the same as mini lops (yes, but only in america). But when I asked the size of her largest she said "3 lb". This is the size of the ideal mini lop (Holland lop in...

    Mini lop or holland lop?

Hi, so I bought a "dwarf" lop and was confused to find that dwarf lops grow to the size of a Dutch rabbit. But when I saw the ladies adult rabbits, they were a bit bigger than Netherland dwarfs. Is my rabbit a dwarf lop (American mini lop) or a false dwarf Holland lop? Pictures are of my...
