Free roaming hedge hogs? Now I wish they would make it legal here.Hedgehogs is legal, in some places. It’s often the african pygme breed that’s accepted. Not the common one you see in the wild at your place.
Here in sweden a hedgehog have to have 20 sq m as a living space, at least every where I’ve read. That’s bigger than my first appartment I had. I’ve done my research and the law maybe have changed since last time I read it. I often do research about animals before I get one.
So they often reccomend to have them free roaming in sweden. I would totally get one but the temperature in my house is too cold for a hedgehog, even my bunnies with fur find the indoor temperature a bit cold sometimes. So I’m just going with seeing wild hedgehog in nature
Because I don’t have the space to follow the law for a hedgehog living space. They have better living space than bunnies. So I hope they will change the bunnies rules.
They aren't unusual here??? I must be living under a rock.Hedgehogs aren't that unusual pets in the US by now, there is one, I think african species that works well enough as a pet.
Would be illegal here too, but that doesn't say much about sensibleness of some laws.
