I think my bunnies have myxomatosis :(

Thanks guys. They're a bit worse now, so I called my vet and once there's a vet there they'll call me to get them put to sleep :( I don't think it matters whether I go to a rabbit savvy vet or a normal vet because it's definitely myxo, and I'm not going to let them suffer. I'm really...

I think my bunnies have myxomatosis :(

I have four female rabbits, who all live together, and I think two of them have myxo :( Yesterday morning they were fine, then I picked lots of nettles for them to eat cos they've had them a few times and like them. Then about an hour later I went outside and noticed that two of the rabbits...

    Colours?

Thanks :) The parents are broken sable chin, and black. I think the sable/seal rabbit just has a few white hairs, that's what looks like ticking. I know my last siamese sables (from different parents) had a few white hairs here and there.

    Colours?

I still think this one is Siamese Sable or something, has slightly reddish tinge in his eyes . . . but some people said they didn't look siamese sable so I'm unsure And I dunno what to call this guy, he has agouti ears, but dark grey patches too . . .

    Bloody kits??

I've never seen any blood in the nest or on the kits, but we've only had 4 litters here so I dunno. I only ever saw a little bit of blood in the doe's litter box after. Maybe you could call them and ask them about the kits?

Breeding in doors and are they pets?

My rabbits are all outdoors because there's more space for them there, and other reasons, I like having them outdoors and spending time outdoors with them. But they are all my pets :) even though I breed them. I just keep the males and females in separate hutches/runs, but the females get to...

Bite wound - antibiotics or no antibiotics?

One of my rabbits got a bite wound on her chin, it must have been from her neighbour bunny so I've moved their runs a little further apart so it can't happen again. Anyway, it looks fine, like it's healing and scabbed over and not infected. But does she need antibiotics as a precaution or...

    Siamese Sable? Or something else?

Well I'm guessing a seal maybe then? It does look darker than the Siamese Sables I've had. But does have the reddish eyes that they can have. He's only 4 weeks too, should have said. He's definitely not black. And I dunno, seems too dark to be blue? I dunno the parents' backgrounds but the...

Some questions for the vegetarians / vegans on here

Hey, I'm vegan and I'd definitely recommend going veggie as a way to lose weight and be healthy :) Trying it for a few days a week is a great idea I used to eat no veg at all, just pizza and chips and stuff, but then when you eat veggies, you get used to them and your tastes will change and...

Confused: Nesting at 17 days (but she has a "bunny bump")

Yeah one of my does nests about a day after mating, and she has always been pregnant. My last doe nesting on day 14, so I thought it was a false pregnancy, but nope :)

Single maned Lionhead with long fur on body

She's only 8 weeks. It's just weird cos her litter mates have normal short fur on their bodies.

How long is too long between breedings

Waiting til June sounds ok to me.

Single maned Lionhead with long fur on body

So I posted before asking if people knew if you can have single maned Teddy Lionheads. But I just took these photos today of one of my rabbits and she has really long fur on her body, but not the same as a teddy and she is single maned. The parents have had teddies before, but had no double...

    Baby Photos

I don't know the parents backgrounds actually. They do look big, but they are Lionheads (a week old in the photos), the dad is only 3 pounds, the mother is maybe 4. And the one in the first pic was stretching so looks bigger :D

    Baby Photos

Took some photos of the babies just now, they're not great cos I can never take good photos in the shed with my camera, even though there's quite a lot of light, anyway . . . I'm trying to guess the colours but not sure about most of them! Dad is black and mom is broken sable chin or something...
