I have a Californian doe, 12 months old. She's had one litter (in January 2011). I want to wait until June to re breed her. Is this gap too long? Should I breed her again sooner than this? I'm trying to plan around my show schedule.

Thanks

I'm not going to breed my doe again after show season is done either. Which will be late August. She just had a litter March 9, 2011. She'll be 10 months on the 3rd of April. Personal preference I think.

My does are bred when they wean a litter or shortly thereafter if they are in good weight. They do better with regular breeding without too much time in between.
