Bonding a rabbit with a head tilt

Has anyone ever bonded a bunny with a head tilt? Petey is 7 years old and developed a head tilt that has not gone away with treatment. I was just wondering if anyone has ever bonded a bunny with a disability like this and if there’s anything I need to look out for or any tips. My female...

I’m battling the stasis!! I never thought I’d be here.

It has been a while since I have been on here, but I have a rabbit in stasis. I have always done right by my rabbits diet wise so I NEVER thought I’d battle stasis. I’m a vet tech at an exotic veterinarian, and I have seen so many die from stasis. So, my 6 year old rabbit Petey developed a head...

Has anyone had a rabbit not eat as much during bonding?

So I am bonding Furgus and Furgie (spayed and neutered) and it is going absolutely terrific! No fights at all. Lots of bunny plopping and grooming. However, Furgus is always a really good eater. Like he will grunt if you don’t feed him quick enough lol, but today he has not seemed as interested...

    Furgie is joining the family!

So I made the mistake of looking at adoptable buns from my local rescue. Now I’m back to 3 rabbits. Her name is going to be Furgie and hopefully she will bond with Furguson. She was found running around outside, by the humane society and was covered in mites. I can’t wait to give her the best...

    What is this noise??

This noise is driving me crazy. I've taken her to the vet twice. Her lungs are clear so that's not it. We've tried metacam just in case it's from pain due to arthritis (8 years old) but neither has helped. It sounds like an eh eh eh eh that is on rhythm with her breathing. I can't figure out how...

How to keep hay in and how many litter boxes?

So I have two questions. 1. How do y'all keep the hay in the cage? It isn't a big deal now because we have hardwood floors, but we are moving to a place with carpet and that is going to make cleanup harder. 2. How many litter boxes and bowls should I have for a trio? My pair had one large...

    Furgie chews on choroplast

Has anyone had this issue? I thought about putting wood on the inside and replacing it as she chews it, but I don't know what would be safe. I also thought about putting tiles around the sides but I don't know what would be safe to use to adhere it. Any ideas? I don't think she is ingesting it...

How to teach a rabbit to use a water bottle.

I don't think Furgie knows how to use her water bottle because when she gets out of her cage she goes straight to the dogs water fountain. How do I teach her to use the bottle?

Do your rabbits seem to enjoy having a second level?

I am making a 2x4 c and c cage but I'm trying to decide whether or not I want to do an upper level or not. Does it seem beneficial to have an upper level? I already bout my cubes because they were on sale for 15.00 a piece for 4 cubes at Walmart but I think I'm going to need more than two boxes...

    Harper pees on carpet?

So yesterday I let Harper out and she peed on carpet. I had her litter box out with her but she didn't want to jump in it. She at the hay in it but sat outside of it. Is there anything I can do to make sure she doesn't do this again? She is great with her habits in the cage on tile. Never misses...

Harper- the big rabbit with the mustache

So I just wanted to make a blog type deal for Harper since I am unfortunately rehoming my other two rabbits due to the landlord not wanting 3 rabbits in the house. So I will have more time to spend with big mama. Recently big mama developed a mustache on her muzzle. I laugh pretty much every...

    Harper attacks cups

Every time I'm giving Harper her food she aggressively attacks the cup I pour her food out of. I don't know if she's just really excited for food or if she doesn't like the cup. Does anybody have a rabbit like this or have any suggestions? I feel like she's gonna accidentally attack my hand one day.
