What to do after the spay....

I never updated! Miss Lucy needs to be spayed still. She is healthy and has no signs of cancer etc. When we took the girls to the vet Penny our lop who was "spayed" was not. Bonus, she had uterine cancer. It cost $600, so our healthy Lucy will have have to wait until January when I have vacation...

    Toy Ideas

Hi there! It's been a long time since I have been on here. My buns and I have become city dwellers in NYC. They both have their own rooms because one is still not spayed. While perhaps its an exaggeration to say "they have no toys" I think they believe that is the case. Point is, they're...

    Clipped Quick

    Clipped Quick

Hello all. It's been a while. So today I was cutting Penny's nails (the lop) and she jerked and I hit her quick. Her foot bled and i applied the blood stopper. I also cleaned it off with non-scented soap and warm water. She seems fine eating and drinking just kind of unhappy with me. :dunno...

    I'll show them 'tidy'

Q-tip, I love the idea of putting pieces that are below my standards in my parents shoes. They keep my hay on the hardwood floor, the trick is to drag it across the room to the carpet! Much better traction when you're throwing the box in the air.

What to do after the spay....

I will pay anything to make her feel comfortable. Should I keep her cage cleaned as in no droppings etc everyday? She is going to hate being locked in the cage as she is free range. I feel bad for the poor little girl :(

What to do after the spay....

So I finally got the strength to make the appointment for Lucy (about a year old) to get spayed by a vet who specializes with rabbits And works with a rabbit rescue in the area. The appointment is next week. I'm terrified. Any advice for after the spay? :nerves1 I've always had males that...

    I'll show them 'tidy'

Mom thought it was 'cute' to buy a tidy feeder as a treat for my carpet area today. I'll show her tidy. Heh, humans always trying to ruin the fun of hay. -penny, the bun who refuses to stay 'tidy' as the box suggests. Anyways that was exhausting dragging that off what it was attached to so...

    How Often??????

M girls are free range in their own areas with both carpet/mats/hardwood floor. I Vacuum about three times a week...unless penny has a festival with her hay while I'm at work. Wet swiffer the floor once to twice a week. The dusting.....everyday when they shed? Litter/cage clean is once a week...

    Vacuum

I was thinking I'd probably have to get the larger one for the hay. Do they do well with hair pick up?

    Vacuum

My ladies are free range with their own cages as a litter box that's always open. So they like to drag all their hay food etc out into their areas and frolick around with it. Is cute to watch, not so fun to clean. The only time they are in their caged "locked" is the five minutes I vacuum and...

    Vacuum

So the regular vacuum isn't cutting it, and I live in a world of hay (as we all do). I'm sick of unclogging the vacuum. Any vacuums or shop-vacs that have worked best for you? *sidenote - it would be great if I could get it at Lowes home improvement since I have someone who will get me a...

What do you feed your show bunnies?

Purina is not a very good brand for any animal food. It's like the bottom of the line for dog food at this point. I don't know much about the rabbit food, but I imagine its on the level of kaytee minus the seeds/sugary cereal.

    What works best for litter?

I do a mix of care fresh on top of yesterday's news. It keeps the smell virtually non existent

    Licked beer

She seems fine, just a slight panic i had. She's eaten her daily ton of hay so I think she's good. :bunnydance:

    Licked beer

Hi guys, So my significant other spilt over a beer in penny's area. We cleaned it thoroughly but she licked up a tiny bit while we we in the midst of catching the stupid bottle. I'm keeping a close eye on her right now. She seems completely fine. She did not lick more than 15 seconds and...

    Humping and litter training

She is slowly putting on weight from when I rescued her. She has no digestive issues so that's a plus. I will/can ask the vet about spay/neuter, allegedly she is spayed according to the vet who tends to petco Animals in my area (I work there and saved her from there where someone who found her...
