What does it mean if he grunts, thumps, and starts digging while he's on me?

Maybe it's because he's uncomfortable? Or because he keeps slipping down bit by bit and it annoys him so he tries to make it comfortable? I noticed that with this one bed I gave him, it was always lumpy and he didn't like it so he'd try to dig in it to make it more comfortable, but it didn't...

    My rabbit is frustrating xD

Well... the blanket I was talking about doesn't go anywhere when he digs at it. His playpen is on it so it's pretty much flat on the floor and he can't do anything about that. I am a bit worried though that if he were to dig at this continuously for long enough that he'd wear a hole right...

What does it mean if he grunts, thumps, and starts digging while he's on me?

Lately Ripley has been doing this while I'm holding him. It doesn't hurt or anything but it's a little startling when he does it all of a sudden and I'm worried it's a sign of aggression or annoyance. Does anyone know why he might be doing this?

How do I get Ripley to let me lay him on his back?

I always have him on my lap turned towards me, then I kind of sweep his butt out from under him and hold his upper body with my other hand. I've never seen the "trance" thing. That sounds weird. Sometimes he'll lay there but you can tell he's nervous and sometimes he'll try to get back up. I...

    My rabbit is frustrating xD

He recently got neutered. And he doesn't dig a WHOLE lot, I'm just not sure why he doesn't use the things I buy him and instead chooses to mess up things I don't want him to. xD

any one elses rabbit make these noises? (video)

Oh my gosh, that's adorable xD No, I've never heard Ripley do that. He certainly does seem very excited and stands up and tries to get as close as possible, sometimes even chewing on the bars if he gets impatient. But the only noises I've heard him make were little grunts or teeth grinding.

a bunny thing or a moo thing

My rabbit does this too. But he doesn't seem scared at all. Just momentarily surprised, because it came from one of his blind spots.

    My rabbit is frustrating xD

Ripley keeps digging on the blanket under his playpen, and I keep giving him a grass mat which I bought for this purpose, but he doesn't use it. He just chews on it. What can I give him that he'll like digging on so I can encourage him to use that instead of my blanket? xD

    Charlie is getting the snip-snip

You can't fast rabbits or they will go into GI stasis which can be fatal to them. Ripley is going to be neutered too this month as soon as I get the money.

How do I get Ripley to let me lay him on his back?

I've been trying to get him to let me do this. It would be so much easier to clip his nails, or give him checkups, but every time I try, he starts kicking and struggling and his heart thumps really fast. I've tried wrapping him in a towel like so many sources suggest but it didn't work, and I've...

    redness on pad of feet

I think my bunny has one of these. I saw a little spot on his foot that was red and the hair was worn away. But I don't know why it happened. He is a rex but the cage has one of those beds from pet-rabbit-toys.com on the floor and the part that isn't covered is not a wire bottom. It's like flat...

    he is peeing everywhere....

So neutering really helps with litter training? My boy, Ripley, pees in his litter box a lot more now that it's right in front of his hay rack and next to his food and water but he still goes on the floor when I let him out into his play pen. I want to let him run free in my room but not until...

    Ripley

I bought Ripley on Oct. 2nd, 2012. He's still pretty young but in the short time I've had him, he's warmed up to me very quickly. I'm still having trouble getting him litter trained but he is well-behaved, curious, and very easy to handle. I love him so much. :)

Who wants to show off their bunnies?! :)

Hello everyone! I got an idea that might be kinda fun. If anyone wants to do a video chat on Omegle and show each other our rabbits, we can go to Omegle.com and type "rabbitsonline.net" in the common interests box. :) Then we'll see only people who have typed the same, so hopefully no getting...

How big can rex rabbits get?

Okay, thanks! I'm sure he'll grow a lot bigger. He's only about 4-5 months right now.

How big can rex rabbits get?

Yeah, I've heard of how heavy they can get, but that doesn't really tell me anything. Nowhere on the internet can I seem to find the answer as to whether they are as big as cats or not.

How big can rex rabbits get?

In relation to the size of an average cat, are they as big? Bigger? My rabbit Ripley is a rex but he's still young, and I hope he gets really big!

    Nail Clipping (Drawing)

A vet visit costs a lot of money, too much just to clip some nails. I'd rather teach him (it's a boy) to accept it. It actually hasn't taken me long at all to get him comfortable with me and he's even fighting less when I pick him up and I've gotten him to follow a target stick pretty reliably...

How can I get my rabbit to let me sex her?

He's only about three or four months and he looks to be a standard rex which is a medium breed right? So they may not drop for another three months or so. However, I feel pretty confident that he's a male because female rabbit parts looks pretty distinct and that's not what I saw. It looked the...

    Hello!

Oh okay then. That's about how many days I let him get used to the bell peppers :) Now I'm introducing Romaine. He loves it but he'll only eat the outside of the leaves and not the middle xD
