How big can rex rabbits get?

In relation to the size of an average cat, are they as big? Bigger? My rabbit Ripley is a rex but he's still young, and I hope he gets really big!

I've heard of standard Rexes getting around 9 pounds--all we've got are minis.

Yeah, I've heard of how heavy they can get, but that doesn't really tell me anything. Nowhere on the internet can I seem to find the answer as to whether they are as big as cats or not.

Well, how big do cats get? They're all over the map. Maine Coon Cats are huge.

A standard Rex, at 8-10 pounds, is probably about the same size as an average male domestic shorthair cat.

Okay, thanks! I'm sure he'll grow a lot bigger. He's only about 4-5 months right now.

If he is already that age then he might not get much bigger. I have only seen normal rex rabbits 1x and it was much smaller than a cat.

The maximum weight of a standard Rex is 10.5lbs
