    Dandruff vs. Mites

The flakes were on the flat furry part of his ears, but now they're completely gone and I don't really know why. The only thing I've done differently is add some iceberg to his salad. The finnish bunny list confirmed my suspicions about the dry weather possibly effecting his skin, but didn't...

    Dandruff vs. Mites

I haven't been able to find the bottle. I must have thrown it out since it was months ago that he needed them. I only remember that it had a small amount of salicylic acid in it. If it is the latter, where could the bacteria be coming from?

    Dandruff vs. Mites

A few months ago I took Noob to the vet because he was itching his ears and he seemed to have white flecks of skin on them. I assumed it was mites because the flecks are usually a big sign of mites, but my vet insisted that it was just dandruff and prescribed some dandruff cream for Noob...

    Post-Neuter Peeing

Noob was nuetered almost two weeks ago and I've read that buns sometimes get really naughty after they've been cut, so him acting out is not so unexpected. The one thing I am concerned about, though, is that after he's done in the potty, his feet and tail are soaked with pee. I first noticed...

How do you water your rabbit?

I gave my baby a choice between the two when we first brought him home. He seemed to prefer the bowl for the first week, but now he likes the bottle better. I still keep a bowl full of fresh water in his cage, but lately his just been playing with it -- tipping it over, puting toys in is...

    Poop Issues

He's 12 weeks old. Again he's on both the oat and timothy hay right now. I'm not going to give him the breeder's pellets anymore (I have been mixing them both this past week so I'm hoping that's long enough) and I'll start giving the oxbow pellets back on Monday, since his cecal issue as...

    Poop Issues

I've read through both of those sites. I even mentioned reading The Mystery of Rabbit Poop -- that's the one by Dana Krempels, but thanks anyway. I think I was just feeding him too many pellets, so he was getting too much extra nutrients and not eating enough hay. Anyway, I'm still seeing...

    Potty training new bunny

He's way too young to be neutered, so don't do that yet. He seems to be doing better, so I wouldn't worry too much about it -- especially since he's still a baby. Just keep praising good behavior and picking up stray poopies when he has an accident.

one of my buns just screamed!

Double check everyone's toes! My older bun got her toe caught in between the shelf and wall of her NIC cage. She ended up breaking her toe trying to get it out. I never actually heard the scream myself, but my mother did and she told me how terrible it was. I hope I never have to hear it. :(

    Poop Issues

Well, I realise now that I posted this in the wrong section. So stupid. :/ Anyway, I stopped Noob's pellets right away and he's just been on oat hay and water all night. The cecals are no longer smushy, but now they're a little dry. I'm thinking that's either because they've been sitting...

    Poop Issues

Noob is having a lot of excess cecals and they're really stinky and smushy. It's not even close to diariea, but I'm still pretty worried. He's on oat hay and a mix of Oxbow 15/23 and the breeders feed (I'm still weening him off of it). The breeders feed is a mix of timothy pellets and what...

    Starcraft 2

My husband was teaching me to play, but we don't have the desktop anymore so we can't play again until we get a new one. I liked playing terran, but now I'm kind of diggin' Zerg. I was watching Husky's commentary and a zerg player attacked their opponent's base with these spiders that blew...

    Beware or Kaytee hay

A couple years ago there was a dead snake in the hay that we got from our local farmer. It must be so much worse to find the parts of a furry critter. :(

How to deal with matted fur on a baby?

I thought of that, but I'm scared to use scissors near him. What if I use nail clippers? I also am afraid to upset him this soon. He's doing so great getting used to a new home, family, and food that I don't want to risk stressing him over the edge

How to deal with matted fur on a baby?

This isn't an emergency, but I wasn't sure which section to ask this question in. My fur-baby is nine weeks old, he's a Pekking Teddy-Rabbit, and I think he might have a mat on his lower belly. The clump is not really hard, but it's not soft enough for me to comb out. It's about an inch...

    Young Rabbit Diet

I know that it's generally recomended to feed alfalfa pellets as well as alfalfa hay to a rabit until their teenage years, but I'm having trouble locating alfalfa hay in my area (Kokkola, Finland). I was wondering if it would be okay to feed him timothy and oat hay along with his Oxbow...

Really Discouraged - Don't Know What To Do

I'm not sure about Holland's policy regarding immigrants and integration, but I would hope it is similar to Finland's in that they really want you to successfully integrate and be productive in the community. If possible, I would suggest going to the unemployment office in your area and...

    Greetings

Here is my (almost) baby. He's about 2-3 weeks old in this picture and he'll be 8 weeks in mid-October. Of course he's still with his mother at the moment, but my breeder is keeping my updated on how he's doing. I'm thinking I might wait until he's 10 weeks old to take him home, just to...
