Sneezing or coughing (not sure which)

Thanks everyone for the help! I was able to move him to a cooler part of the house, though it wasn't easy. He is doing a lot better now, so I blame the heat. He has only sneezed once today when I was around, which is a major improvement! Christina

Sneezing or coughing (not sure which)

Hi His sneezing has been going on now for about 4 days. He is on the same hay he is used to for the past 7 months now which I get from a farm near by and is most timothy with a little bit of alfalfa and sweet meadow in there as well. It isn't dusty and is kept in a sealed container. He did...

Sneezing or coughing (not sure which)

Hi Yeah, there isn't any discharge or crusty anything, and he seems otherwise fine, and even gave me a few binkies today :) When he does sneeze, it is usually around 3-5 in a row, and he will do it a few times a day. I'm worried about the frequency, but wouldn't there be any other symptoms...

Sneezing or coughing (not sure which)

Hi Wallace is an 14 month old Flemish Giant male and is fixed. His diet consists of hay, pellets, fresh foods like lettuce, with apples, strawberries and banana as treats. He weights about 17lbs and is still eating fine. He hasn't lost any weight. There is no discharge, his poops are fine, he...

    Question about breeder husbandry

Alright thanks everyone for your opinions, I feel much better about the situation! Even though the owner was still very rude to a customer (me) and actually had been in the past as well, I guess I can deal with the way she raises her animals. I suppose rabbit breeding is different than just...

    Question about breeder husbandry

Ok, the only ting too is that they didn't have any sort of mat to lie on, or a litter box, so I just worried they never got off the mesh. But thanks for reassuring me that its not so bad.

    Angry!

Hi I was recently in a pet store, and I was very unhappy with the way the rabbits were being housed. When I confronted the store owner about this, she claimed to be a rabbit breeder for 20 years, and that this was the manner in which all rabbit breeders kept their animals. I didn't believe this...

    crazy rabbits

Wallace attacks my robe. There is something about it that just bothers him. He also hates the floor in the hall way and freaks if hes on it (spreads out his toes and feet, tries to cimb me), but fine in the livingroom and hops quite happily...its the same floor!

    "Wow your rabbit actually hops?"

I once had someone get mad at me for "over-feeding my rabbit to the point where he got so huge! Its animal abuse!"... I have a Flemish giant! I'm pretty sure (and by pretty sure I mean 100% sure) that if you over feed a small breed, it gets fat, not proportionally bigger everywhere...

    Parental wrath vs. Lonely bunny...

I would LOVE to get a second bunny. Pets are sort of my thing to be honest, I love to have them, and get a lot of satisfaction taking care of them. I'm still in university however, and my parents worry that I spend too much money and time on my animals, and that the care they need interferes...
