    eating carboard

One of my buns eats paper and cardboard. I doworry about it sometimes, but I've not seen any problems, most likelybecause he eats *lots* of hay. I think hay is the key tomaking sure ingested items get pushed out.

    A Hay Story

    A Hay Story

We've had our two buns for 2 years now, and they never cease to crack me up. For Easter this year we got our boys a wicker easter basket and filled it with a mix of timothy and Oxbow's Botanical hay, and they went bonkers over it. Recently I put some regular ol' Timothy in the basket, the exact...

Our rabbits eat lots of hay and fiber, but theyalso happen to *love* Petromalt. We actually use it now as areward or treat when they are shedding, but only in very small amounts(less than a half inch from the tube). Jeff

    tug of war

I was hanging out on the floor with Austin (one of our buns), and he was playing with a laundry bag, tossing it around, smoothing it out, etc. I went to pick it up to see what he would do, and he clamped his jaws down on it like he was a dog, and started pulling. We played a little tug of war...

    Can't pick my bun up...*RESOLVED!*

Great topic and thread. One of our boys was very untrusting of us for a long time, and is still warming up to us after almost two years. He is so anxious and excitable that we were stunned to learn how easy it is to trance him. The second he is on his back he is OUT. Because of this he is...

Is having just one bunny bad?

We actually adopted a bonded pair that we had to separate after 4 months because they started fighting. Interestingly, after we separated them the two rabbits became much more interested in US (the humans in the house). One of the rabbits is unbelievably affectionate now, with kisses and...

    "Pay attention to me"

This morning as I was getting ready for work Ihear my partner holler from the living room - "What? What did Ido? What!?". Our boy Simon apparently was feelingignored and THUMPED him. Any of you who are familiar withSimon may know that he has one bad leg (from a break that mis-healed ina previous...

Funniest thing your bunny has done :P

Our bun Austin is another one who loves gettinginto trouble. He also has two corners in the house, one inthe living room and one in the kitchen, that we call his "binkycorners". If we find him sniffing around in these cornerswe'll say "What are you doing, Austin?" and he'll twitch and run...

    Bunitude and thumping

This morning as we're getting ready to leave forwork we had a heck of a time convincing our fella Austin that it wastime to go to his "house" (cage). He was mighty comfy in oneof his favorite spots in the living room, under an end table, and madeit very clear to us that he was not ready to go to...

what do you do for you bunnies at different holidays/seasons?

I've seen people on this board praise thebenefits of canned pumpkin for aiding in digestion. Just makesure it's pure pumpkin with nothing added. I keep a can onhand for emergencies. Jeff
