He is fine. Not favoring that paw or anything. I'll still continue to monitor him, but he's laying spawled out like usual on his tiles and acting totall normal. Thanks for asking, Watermelons.
I've decided not to panic. After an hour of limiting his movements and observing him, he's pretty much back to normal, so must have just been somethin minor. I will continue to watch him, just in case.
Lemon juice will repel them. Just put some in a squirt bottle and squirt the cage down and they will go find somewhere else to live. I've used it for years in my kitchen when sugar ants find their way in and they will not cross the lemon juice to get to what they want.
I don't know whether to panic or just observe for a day and see how it goes. I went to get Chewy from his hutch and had him on my shoulder while I was sitting on the floor and he tried to jump over to my bed and missed. (he fell about 22") He's now licking his front paw and shaking it, which is...
I put inexpensive ceramic tiles in Chewy's hutch and he lays on them when he's too hot. He loves the tiles, and will lay on them before laying on a blanket. LOL
I second the Orchard Grass or Botanical. Chewy was picky about his hay for quite a while so I bought a bag of Orchard Grass and he couldn't get enough of it. Now I switch it up, between the Botanical, Orchard and Timothy. Lately, he cannot get enough of the Timothy Hay.
Oxbow is a good brand, IMO. When I switched Chewy over to adult pellets, it didn't take him long to take to the Oxbow Adult formula. I did that around 6-7months. The Vet told me to give him 1/4 adult pellets and the rest his baby pellets the first week. Then the next week give 1/2 and 1/2...
I waited until chewy was 6 months old to start limiting his pellets, at the recommendation of my vet. He showed little interest in hay during that time. When I started limiting his pellets to 1/8 c in the morning and 1/8 c in the evening, I had to coerce him to eat the hay. Then I found...
Does she have access to the litter box during the night? Or is it in another room? My little Chewy runs in my room all night, although I blocked off under my bed, since he was plucking chunks from my carpet under there. He has a litter box by my dresser and one in his hutch. He has access to...
Do you have access to a Gamecam? It will capture pictures of what is getting near the hutch, if you can get your hands on one. That would be my first move.
