    Chewy hurt his front paw/leg

He is fine. Not favoring that paw or anything. I'll still continue to monitor him, but he's laying spawled out like usual on his tiles and acting totall normal. Thanks for asking, Watermelons.

    Chewy hurt his front paw/leg

I've decided not to panic. After an hour of limiting his movements and observing him, he's pretty much back to normal, so must have just been somethin minor. I will continue to watch him, just in case.

    Ant problems- again!

Lemon juice will repel them. Just put some in a squirt bottle and squirt the cage down and they will go find somewhere else to live. I've used it for years in my kitchen when sugar ants find their way in and they will not cross the lemon juice to get to what they want.

    Chewy hurt his front paw/leg

I don't know whether to panic or just observe for a day and see how it goes. I went to get Chewy from his hutch and had him on my shoulder while I was sitting on the floor and he tried to jump over to my bed and missed. (he fell about 22") He's now licking his front paw and shaking it, which is...

Keeping rabbits cool in a hot house

I put inexpensive ceramic tiles in Chewy's hutch and he lays on them when he's too hot. He loves the tiles, and will lay on them before laying on a blanket. LOL

Is there anything organic you can spray on hay.

I second the Orchard Grass or Botanical. Chewy was picky about his hay for quite a while so I bought a bag of Orchard Grass and he couldn't get enough of it. Now I switch it up, between the Botanical, Orchard and Timothy. Lately, he cannot get enough of the Timothy Hay.

    Eating more pellets than hay??

Oxbow is a good brand, IMO. When I switched Chewy over to adult pellets, it didn't take him long to take to the Oxbow Adult formula. I did that around 6-7months. The Vet told me to give him 1/4 adult pellets and the rest his baby pellets the first week. Then the next week give 1/2 and 1/2...

    Eating more pellets than hay??

I waited until chewy was 6 months old to start limiting his pellets, at the recommendation of my vet. He showed little interest in hay during that time. When I started limiting his pellets to 1/8 c in the morning and 1/8 c in the evening, I had to coerce him to eat the hay. Then I found...

Need advice on Under bed sleeper!

Does she have access to the litter box during the night? Or is it in another room? My little Chewy runs in my room all night, although I blocked off under my bed, since he was plucking chunks from my carpet under there. He has a litter box by my dresser and one in his hutch. He has access to...

    Something scaring at night....

Do you have access to a Gamecam? It will capture pictures of what is getting near the hutch, if you can get your hands on one. That would be my first move.

    Toys for picky buns

I make paper bag pom poms for chewy to play with. He will pick it up and shake it back and forth like a dog does a rope bone. Cut the paper bag into strips, stack them all up and tie in the middle with bunny safe string or twine. Then squish each end of each strip so that they are crumpled...

    Baby bunnies advice please.

I got Chewy (my lionhead) at 6 weeks old, and he only gained about a half an oz a week until he hit about 12 weeks, and the he had a spurt and finally hit 1lb 7 oz at about 16 weeks and then it slowed a bit. Since lionheads are a dwarf breed, I don't think that they will add weight as fast as...

Considering repurposing furniture for indoor hutch.

It looks perfect for it. The only suggestion I would have is removing the stain on the inside of the cabinet, or going over it with thin plywood. Here are the ones my son and I made for our bunnies. http://www.rabbitsonline.net/showpost.php?p=1058191&postcount=4 I put wheels on the bottom of...

What are your indoor hay rack solutions to keep hay in the cage?

I've seen people use Kleenex boxes, would that work for you?
