Acting Ike more of a brat since being spayed?!

My bunny went through a phase of tipping and throwing her litter box. I had to clip it to the side of her cage because of course she would tip it while I was away or asleep.

    Controlling Revenge Behavior

Good news from this weekend! No peeing! Her cage at home is an NIC cage, 3x3x3 panels (I call it Bunningham Palace :D ) I put in a 2nd litter box, but she actually didn't use it. I think it might have entertained her though because it was a disposable one and she likes to chew it. I also...

car ride vs flying vs home $:

Whatever you decide, I'd recommend looking into a vetbed for the bottom of the carrier. It's soft for your rabbit to sit on, but liquid goes through it and keeps the top dry. :)

In need of some good advice

I don't have much advice on this except to say that spaying my rabbit made it worse :( Like many others, I wanted to cuddle my bun. When she was a baby I could pick her up and she would tolerate it. I slowly got her more used to it and could pick her up to put her on my lap. When she was...

    eating cardboard and blankets

My rabbit looooves cardboard too! I would give her tons to play with before I also realized she was actually eating it instead of just chewing like my hamsters and gerbils used to. I was also concerned about it causing blockages. She has a lot of other toys but she never chews on the wood...

    Controlling Revenge Behavior

I understand she needs socialization, but I'm talking about if something is going on and it's not safe for her to be running around. Sometimes it's just for an hour or two that I need to put her away to clean, and she'll pee on her cage floor in anger. As for leaving her on the weekend, I...

    Controlling Revenge Behavior

Hello wonderful rabbit experts!! :) I am having a behavioral issue I need your help with. When my bun doesn't get to come out of her cage when SHE wants to, she pees outside her litter box. This is a huge problem as I leave her alone every other weekend. She gets as many hours as I can...

    Litter ideas

I should look for wood stove pellets... I use Carefresh and it doesn't smell, but it's not dry. Just one little piddle and there's a huge wet spot my bunny has to sit in.

    Stinky bun?!

I just came home from a weekend trip out of town. I left my rabbit alone with enough food and water, which went fine. BUT she peed on the blankets in her cage. Not sure if it was because she felt her litter box wasn't clean enough, or if she was angry she couldn't run around the room and...

    Bunnies on the Go!

An old pic (2008) of Rilee My early years of college I used to go home almost every month, a 4.5 hour drive one way. This was taken on our way back to school after a holiday break.

    Kaytee < Oxbow!

I just got my bunny back after my mom had her for 2 years and I went to the pet store to buy hay. I'd always bought Kaytee Timothy hay because it was cheap and I didn't have much money. Even when my store started stocking Oxbow, which I had heard such great things about, I kept buying Kaytee for...

    Fruits or no fruits?

I always thought fruits and veggies were good :/ I give my bun a small piece of banana and a big leaf of lettuce every day...

    Hammocks?

Susan, that u-shaped pillow is a really great idea! I think my bunny would love that, she's always resting her chin on blanket lumps. Do you have more details on how you made it? Also, adorable picture :)
