Why people rehome their rabbits

I thought this was really interesting. This person collected 450 questionnaires that were filled out by people giving their rabbits to shelters. Check out the results here:

This is a very very interesting article. Thanks....this will help me some at the shelter and when I take the buns to Petco to try to get them adopted. It seems to me that children are really interested in the rabbits and that thisdraws the parents into a discussion with me about them. Thank God we will not adopt a rabbit out to a parent for a young child. It occurs to me (at this moment) that childrens books have done a lot of harm in portraying rabbits so very inaccurately. I'm going to start a post on this in Rescue to see what others think
