1) where did you get your rabbit?
Ookpik - From the local pet store, she'd been returned for growing "too big."
Newt - I adopted from SARS BC, he was born into the rescue.
2) were there any challenges you blame on how you got your rabbit (like health issues from a pet store)?
Ookpik - Nope, she's a perfect curmudgeon...
Newt - Nope, he's very social and easy going, he was very well socialized during is time in SARS's care.
3) If you were to get another rabbit, how would you do it?
I'd probably buy another from the pet store or get a rehome from the paper. I do support rescue, but living so far away, it's a challenge to actually adopt from one. To pick up Newt, we had to drive just over 1,200 km (one way) to Terrace. But if I was ready for another rabbit and there was one in our local shelter, I'd adopt it in a heartbeat, there's just rarely any there.
