Hello everyone :)

My broken blue tort lop has a urine stained bum and feet. Does anyone know how to safely clean it? I've allowed about a weeks time for her to clean it off herself but it is fading to slowly. Please let me know of any solutions :) I have heard of the following

- wiping with baby wipes
- wiping with warm water and cotton balls
- scrubbing with warm water and soft tooth brush
- Using a itty bitty drop of baby shampoo with the above two suggestions.

Let me know if any of these google suggestions are bun safe :) and any other ideas you may have

thank you so very much!

Baby wipes can work, although not usually.

I don't recommend using anything that gets the bun wet, really, unless you have fecal matter that you need to get off. I have used baby shampoo, but just getting wet seems to really stress out the rabbit.

I usually grab some cornstarch (or cornstarch-based baby powder if you want a scent) and give the bunny a deep massage. Try to get each hair pretty well coated. After that, take a slicker brush and just brush, brush, brush to get most of the powder out.
