Hey guys.
I was sitting in my room with her and she was lying on her side, and I noticed a pink-red bump on the back of each of her feet. One is a bit larger than the other. Mind you, it didn't look as bad as the examples of sore hocks I've seen, but just to be on the safe side I washed her feetwith warm soap water, disinfected with wound wash saline and put some cream similar to neosporin.I was going to take a photo to post here but she ran under the bed.
Is this an emergency? Do I need to go to a vet asap? I realized I made some stupid decisions when choosing how to set up her cage. She lives in a big rabbit pen, for bedding I put a foam mat with some towels on top for padding. I do wash them regularly but I guess not regularly enough if it is sore hocks I'm dealing with. How can you tell the difference between sore hocks and callouses?
Thanks in advance, please let me know if you have helpful informaiton.:cry2
