Pam how important are lines when breeding, if you want to bring in stock from another stud, what should you follow?

Line breeding can be a very important tool insetting consistant type in your herd. It can take 2-3 yearsor more to merge 2 lines together, so starting with a line bred triocan save you years of work.

Ok so should I then stick with that line or after a few years bring in stock from other lines?

To avoid inbreeding depression, new stock has to periodically bred in.

Ok so am i doing righ buying both does and bucks from the same stud?

Correct -- as long as they are related. Buying from the same stud doesn't necessarily mean the rabbits are related.

Ok so how closely related should they be?

Not to closely related because you'll be usingthat tri to breed back to, so you don't want brother/sister,father/daughter or mother/son.

Ok, I will find ouy what they are, i have chosenone buck that we will be getting on thursday, and the buck jordan haschosen she still doesnt know if she wants to part with him, the doeswill be from litters that are planned
