The veterinary hospital that I currently work at has recently introduced the RHDV2 vaccine to offer to our rabbit patients. I have recently come across that there is a vaccine for Myxomatosis. Are there any veterinary hospitals out there that are offering this vaccine? There are some reports of it being on the east coast (Washington, California, etc.). The RHDV2 vaccine does seem to be offered at more clinics now since the disease seems to have been reported in multiple states now.
Just looking for general information and opinions on this. Is it worth offering? Anyone live in an area where they may be at high risk of their rabbit being exposed?

There is no approved vaccine for myxo available in the US. Primarily because it's not widespread and is mostly isolated to the west coast states, with relatively few occurrences as far as I've read.

There didn't used to be a vaccine for RHDV in the US either, because there had only ever been a few rare isolated cases that were quarantined and stopped. But a few years ago it was somehow introduced into the rabbit population around BC in 2018, then more cases continued to pop up in the US and No. America since then. So there was a push to get the vaccine approved as it continued to spread through the US.
