Hello
My rabbit injured his hock two days ago. I cleaned the wound and covered it with Wound bandage and it's healing well but he developed a habit of licking and bitting his other hock and his two paws now he broke the skin oh his hock a little. I checked his paws and hocks for soreness but there is no symptoms. He is perfectly well playing and eating. Is someone had an experience like this?

He might be messing with the other foot because he can't get to groom the injury on the wounded foot that's covered with the bandage, and it may be itchy or painful. Another possibility is the bandage is too tight and restricting circulation on the wounded foot, and he's reacting to that uncomfortable feeling by messing with the other leg.

I'd suggest checking the bandage isn't too tight, and be careful and keep an eye on the behavior, as some rabbits may self mutilate to the point of causing severe injury.

Another possibility is, if you notice any dandruffy skin, crusty skin, and/or fur loss, the behavior may be due to mites.

Medirabbit: skin conditions

I'd also suggest being very careful with the wound on the other foot. Keep a close eye out for any signs of infection or abscess, and treat with the appropriate rabbit safe antibiotic if there is infection present. Also be extremely careful in bandaging the wounded foot, and make sure the foot still has good circulation. An overly tight bandage that restricts circulation to the foot, can result in severe injury, even requiring amputation.

He is better now with licking and all other behaviors. I think he was just uncomfortable because he can't access to his other leg that why he did this since he was just fine before the injury.
I will keep close eye on him, thanks for the help.
