i need help finding a dog

so my boyfriend and I want to get a dog! we are looking to get a yorkie maltese mix but i dont know how to find one. i was wondering if anyone in the san diego ca area knows of a good place to get a puppy. i'm going to check out the shelters but they pretty much only have pit bulls and chiwawas (sp?). I want to adopt, but i'm kind of specific on the kind of dog i want. so if anyone knows of anyone in my area selling puppies it would be awsome if you could let me know!!!! thanks for any help!

thanks!!! i'm going to start doing lots of emails! i'd love to rescue a little pup! this is the only time in my life i havent had a doggie friend with me. when my mom left 2 years ago she took our dog with her. I cant wait to find a little one to pamper like zentor has been pampered. haha
