Right now they are out on the grass all day and night (in a run, with a hutch too) so they get grass and dandelion leaves and flowers there, and clover and whatever other yummy things might be there, like daisies.
I don't have much money for buying them loads of greens, but I've read so much how important it is, so lately I've been trying to find either salad bags that are reduced because they're going out of date (but still good enough for bunnies) or just buy very cheap round or butterhead lettuce. They also get whatever veggie peelings I have (and that can be a lot some days, when I make soup) usally carrot, sweet potato, turnip, (the guinea pigs get parsnip since my rabbits don't like it!) broccoli stalks. And if I have any veggies that are starting to go bad but are still not very bad (I don't like using them myself, but some people still would) then they get those. They have to share with the guinea pigs though. They also get a bit of apple, maybe 1/4, about once a week. And if my family have pork chops then they get all the apple peelings from the apple sauce! Or if I have any salad leaves that are starting to wilt then they get those, and that's quite a lot cos I'm vegan so have loads of veggies around all the time.
I don't measure anything, but if it seems like too much then I keep some for the next day. They usually get a bowl of veggies each (rabbit size ceramic bowl) a day, and also dandelion leaves and all that aswell. I've started to grow my own lettuce and herbs too, so hopefully soon they'll have more. The lettuce is just for the animals, but I'll use some of the herbs too.
I'm also trying to grow some carrot/parsnip/turnip tops and sweet potato plants.
