Hi Guys!
New to the forum, just here really to get support when needed and share experiences!
We live in the Wiltshire countryside and have a rather large amount of bunnies...Here we go...
Heidi & Hector - Himalayans
Beau - Belgian Hare
Shadow - Argente Noir
Elise & Elan - Netherland Dwarfs
Maisie - Lop X
Bella - Lion Lop
Maple - "Mini Hare" belgian hare x Marron de Lorraine
Fiver & Honey - Dutch
Monty, Silver, Bailey, Willow, Whiskey - Mini Rex
We have taken many of our buns on as rehomes for various reasons (lost interest, retired from breeding, special needs, aggression, etc) but there are a few breeds that are very special for us and we have chosen to buy from babies.
We enjoy having the odd litter from our mini rex and thanks to an escapee we have had an unexpected rex x lop litter this week!
They all live in our very large shed in fabulous 7 foot hutches, with lots of outdoor fun time which they love.
Pleased to meet you all :)

Welcome to the forums! We'd love pics when you get a chance. That's a LOT of bunns... but then again, we've got 4 cats, 4 rabbits, 10 society finches, 7 diamond doves, 2 sugar gliders and a turtle, lol. It sounds like you're truly rabbit people at heart - so wonderful that you've been able to rescue a great number of rabbits.

We could never say no to a bunny that needs a loving home. We always find a way to make space, hence why we have so many! Then every now and then we will come across a baby that we just have to have! We've learnt how to keep them cost effectively, so we buy everything in bulk including hay from the farmer!

We have some other pets too so we are a very busy household! We have 2 dogs, 2 birds, 4 guinea pigs, a hamster and 5 fancy mice...

I second Imbrium we'd love to see some pictures of your bunnies too :)

Here's my Leo he's 5 months old Lionhead/dwarf mix, was an accidental litter and I took him when he was 8 weeks old. He's a very active rabbit and very friendly, also he humps and sprays everything I will have to neuter him asap which is a bit sad as he's really cool and I like that he's very active but don't like that he marks my carpet and smells funny :)

Fred is also Lionhead I think, I don't know his age he was left on street in cardboard box he keeps his head on the right side and was very scared at first but now he's happy and healthy rabbit, very good character and gorgeous fur, he's a very clean rabbit as well and very organised.

Smokey was about 8-9 weeks old when I adopted her, she comes from an accidental litter as well, both her parents were full white and black spotted Holland lops, I think the proper name is broken black, interesting that in her litter of 4 kits only one looked like his parents and two were black and she's bluish-grey, a very pretty and very fast and active, but also very defensive and can bite she's very territorial, she will need to be spayed otherwise I will have to keep her separated all the time. She likes Leo though maybe after neutering him they can be a nice couple, not before that as he likes her too and won't leave her alone for a moment. She's about a couple weeks younger than Leo so around 5 months now.

And here's Bernie, she's 10 months old Holland (I think) lop. She comes from a very nice family with three nice girls who just lost interest in her as she grew up so their mother decided to rehome her as she didn't get attention she deserves. She's a gorgeous girl blue-eyed and her coat is very thick and silky, and she's a very good character as well.

Stinkin' cute, every last one of them! Thanks for the pics! The Dutch and Cali rabbits at the end make me want to go squeeze our new Dutch and Cali bunns :D

They are all so different and so beautiful, and good photos too! I have to create an Instagram account finally so I can follow you too :)

I wondered why the markings looked off! I was looking at a thumbnail of the picture on my phone and just figured they were a bit mismarked - I didn't realize just how close in appearance the two breeds are. I've never actually seen a Himalayan before, but the shelters in Houston, TX are always full of poor Calis :(. I've gotta say, I just googled the Himalayans and now that I know their size, I SO want to get one and bond it with Barnaby and HQ so that Big Bunny can have a little "mini me" rabbit, hehehehe. That would be too cute! We've got enough rabbits, though.

Aw haha! Himis are incredible, I rate them so highly. Incredibly friendly and docile. They’re quite small in comparison to a Californian I believe - I have never met one of them! They’re beautiful little souls, I adore them.

Yeah, Californians are the size of a small cat, lol - hence why we call him "Big Bunny." Picture one of your little Himalayans next to a rabbit that looks nearly identical but is 3x the size. Tell me that wouldn't make you laugh so hard! :p
