hi guys,
i have lemon booked in for a neuter in a couple of weeks. he is four years old, and suddenly displaying hormonal and territorial behaviour (marking my bed and running around my feet in circles etc.)

the vets i will be taking him to are the rabbit specialists in my area and say they have neutered many adult rabbits without trouble.

i'm just so nervous as i'm scared something will go wrong due to his age, or that it won't help with his hormonal behaviour and i will have wasted my money and put him through so much stress and pain for no reason.
he's a shy and on edge bunny, being born wild, and even a small car trip is enough to completely freak him out.
i know it also helps prevent cancer, but i'm still unsure.

has anyone else had their male bunny neutered as an adult?

Well, 4 years isn't that old, and males are less risky anyway.
Imho, a lot depends on the vet.

Last year I had an emergency spay done on a 7yo doe which was in very bad shape having a kit stuck all night due to a surprise pregnancy, wasn't cheap (vet came in on weekend for this) and the vet wasn't very optimistic, but she pulled through, recovered well and is now still living with her 10yo mom.

I don't have a neutered male, but considering that what my (free range in the house and garden) boy does is seasonal I would expect things to get better. He doesn't mark territory, but sprays at his cuddlebun with no regard where he is, that's kinda annoying and excluded him from rooms where it's not easy to mop up. Also, at times he's a PITA to his very, very patient spayed cuddlebun Dotty.
