Change in fur

Hi, we are new to owning rabbits, about 4 months - only had dogs for the last 10 years or so.

One of our rabbits has recently had some strange changes to his fur around his eyes and nose (see attached photos).

I first thought it was moulting, but it doesn't seem to be happening anywhere else.

Has anyone come across this before, or have any idea what might be the cause?

It look like molting, my rabbit have the same on his nose and before that it was his whole body that was molting but not the face.

But can’t see so good with the picture of the eyes. But for me it seem like molting.

Your rabbit has similar coloring to mine. They really can change their markings and appearance with each shed (or various stages of a shed). The following is my rabbit -- all the same rabbit -- but you can see how the fur looks different (markings across nose, etc) depending on when it was taken.
