I feed my bunny two salads everyday, one in the morning and one around 8pm.
Her salads typically consist of romaine lettuce (bottom layer), kale (middle layer), cilantro (top layer), and then for garnish some parsley or a little bit of chopped fruit. The romaine makes up most of her salad.
The problem is, she has become extremely picky(?) lately. When I give her her salads, she only eats the parsley/fruit > kale > cilantro, and leaves the romaine to get gross (in my opinion at least)! She eventually eats it, but she waits a really long time. I'm worried because she didn't use to do this when we first got her.
Am i doing something wrong? Could it be that I am giving her too much salad, that she needs to wait a while to eat it all?
I used to give her less salad. But because she runs around the house almost every night (under our supervision of course, and it's bunny proofed before she is allowed out) she has lost weight (she wasn't able to get that type of exercise at the bunny rescue). We started giving her more salad, we didn't want her to go hungry or something because she was burning more calories now. She has her hay, but I'm kind of worried all the time -.-
I know this is really long, sorry guys, but any input is very appreciated.
