My friend told me that she has listerine in one of those travel bottles and sprays it lightly over her rabbits fur when they go outside as she has heard flies don't like it and will keep away.

I have tried googling it to find out if any one else has ever done this but can't find anything. Just wondering if anyone else has ever used it? Because don't want to try it unless anyone else has heard of doing it.

When we had a flea problem I used a mixture of listerine and lemon juice and vinegar - along with water to get the fleas to jump off. The rabbits still needed to be treated for fleas.

It's 1 gallon water, 2 cups mouthwash and 2 cups any type vinegar and about a teaspoon of lemon juice.

Someone would have to help you figure out how much to make if you just wanted a spray bottle.

I just lightly misted it over the rabbits.....it is a "temporary fix" at best.
