    Rare bunnies.

Are there any really rare unregistered rabbit breeds out there? It seems like there are a lot of breeds in Europe that we don't have in the US. Are the Rhinelander, Brittania Petite, Tan, Checkered Giant/Papillion, Belgian Hare, and English Spot the only full-arched breeds, or are there more...

I have a Walter as well. Walter is the best name. <3 Congrats on the new bunnies.

    Sneezing -- no discharge.

I feel that my vet is really rabbit knowledgeable, as well as ferret knowledgeable. I really trust her. The best thing about my vet is that she listens to me and my suggestions. That's a biggie with my ferrets, as I am highly knowledgeable about ferrets and their illnesses and together we...

    Sneezing -- no discharge.

It makes me terrified because my bunnies are my babies. I would be so heartbroken if they became terminally ill. :(

    Sneezing -- no discharge.

Okay. I will do that. Also -- people say pastuerella is something which cannot be cured -- only treated. People have told me that rabbits that have it will be disabled their entire lives, etc. I have heard many stories about people having to cull entire herds. It's just REALLY scary. Do you...

    Sneezing -- no discharge.

Hi. I actually called my vet today, and spoke to my favorite vet tech. He basically said to keep an eye on my bunny (Nabil) until Friday, and call if things get worse. Nabil was scheduled to be fixed Friday morning. I can have him checked over and have medication prescribed. Should I...

Someone help? No one has been answering my posts lately on here. :(

    Sneezing -- no discharge.

My bunny is a Belgian hare, 4 months old. He eats Purina blue bag. I got him recently, from an excellent breeder in our area who breeds for health and temperament. He has been sneezing some. Sometimes more, sometimes less. His nose is wet, but 100% clear. There was one sneeze a few days ago...

    Show Rabbit Nutrition

I feed Purina -- the blue bag. Most people around here do the green bag, but many are switching. Most of the showers do Purina in general -- and a couple do Big Red. I like Purina blue bag. It's like the green, with no corn. http://www.rabbadwordow.com/ECMD2-0019046.aspx I tried to post a...

What is your bunny getting for the Holidays?

Mine get special treatment for Christmas -- they get to go to Louisiana with me. Not even my dogs get that privilege -- they get to stay with the sitter. I also will be modifying their pen for the better. Jethro and Nabil are getting neutered, which will grant them access into my herd...

how did you choose your breed?

I love full arched breeds and Himalayans. I love the full arched rabbits -- I love the long, sleek bodies and the high strung attitudes. I have a Tan, two Petites, an English Spot, and a Belgian Hare. They all have very distinct personalities and are energetic and gorgeous. Himalayans were...

Rabbits being given as prizes at the fair

I second not getting PETA involved. They're bad news, of a plethora of reasons. That's horrid, giving away rabbits as prizes. Iguanas have been a big issue in our state. Iguanas being a hugely misunderstood, abused, and surrendered pet in general. People don't realize what it takes to have...

    Belgian Hare

I will try, I fail at the picture thing. ^_^ I have ones I took when I only had Walter and Bilal that haven't been loaded -- I need to shape up with my pictures! He's a bit molty. She said by 9 months he should be in his prime, and be gorgeous. I am SO excited. Technically he is showable...

    Belgian Hare

Oh my gosh. I got him! ^_^ As of now his name is Nabil (an Arabic name, pronounced and sometimes spelled as Nabeel) He's really friendly, and lively. He loves my boxer dog Achilles, and seems to like me. I heard him "purr" a bit when I held him last night. He's also GORGEOUS. I mean he's so...

Bunny poop - are all poops the same size?

My Dutch, Himalayan, and Tan have normal bunny poops -- my English spot's poops are a bit larger, and my Brittania Petites have smaller poops. Just in my experience.

    Spraying.

Is it normal (or rather abnormal) for neutered males to spray? Not to mention my bunnies pee on or next to me sometimes. And nip. I have read several sources that indicate that these are (the latter two anyhow) ways of showing love. As flattering as this is, those sources claim that "fixing...

Are people typically scarred of the Red-eyed bunnies?

I have a rescued albino ferret that was given up because his "eyes were red and reminded (the person) of a rat". I have heard that "red eyed remind me of rats" thing several times. 1) Any albino animal is going to have red eyes. 2) Rats rock either way.

    Biting.

They rip at my clothes somewhat obsessively. But they also get my bare skin. They usually scratch my clothing before chomping (often getting me in the process) but there is no warning to a skin bite.
