Peeing in same spot but litter trained

Yes. They are very well behaved too. They don’t destroy furniture or carpets (for the most part anyways).

Peeing in same spot but litter trained

One or both of my male rabbits are peeing in the same area of their bedroom. They are very good about using the litter box and have been trained for 4-5 years now. I’ve put a litter box near the area they pee but they will sometimes just pee in front of the box. There’s a litter box in the...

Rabbit is peeing outside of litterbox

My lionshead used to do this all the time. I got a much larger litter box and he stopped doing it. It wasn’t super small to begin with but he just wanted it to be roomier

    Don’t buy oxbow hay!

A warning to bunny owners: I bought a bag of oxbow hay cus I was in a pinch and it was FULL of foxtails. I’ve been pulling them out of my lionshead for two days now. They’ve gotten all over my place! I exchanged the bag and the new one had them too. These are super dangerous and animals have...

Handling bunnies too much now they kind of hate me

I’ve been super guilty of handling my bunnies too much lately. I normally coax them out with food but I’ve done it too many times they don’t eat their favorite food as much. They still eat hay, drink water, and eat pellets. The veggies aren’t being eaten right away. They’re pooping and peeing...

    Dusty hay

I buy the standlee 50lb bag of Timothy hay. Since it’s super compressed there’s lots of crumbs and dust in it. Does anyone have a trick to sitting out this? I usually just take a handful and shake. It’s not super efficient so I’m trying to find a better hack

Struggling to find Timothy hay for a good price!!

    Is this good hay?

I buy this all the time. It’s not sweet smelling like the stuff at petsmart but I think it’s because it isn’t 2nd cut or something. The dust is just breakage from compressing 50lb of hay to a small cube. I actually just sifted an entire bag today. You just need to take a handful and shake it...

How can I get my rabbit to stop wasting so much hay?

If I get my good quality Timothy hay from either tractor supply or fleet farm because a compressed 50lb bag is about $26! My rabbit does this too. He is doing this because as a prey animal he wants to eat with his back against the wall. So he’ll push as much of the fresh to the other side of...

storing bulk of hay, how long is hay fresh?

I have 2 indoor rabbits and they go through hay pretty fast cus one likes to keep his back to the wall and that’s where the fresh stuff is so whatever he doesn’t move he ends up peeing on. (If I put it where he likes he won’t get in the litter box and just eats over the side). But I buy a 50lb...

    Horrible pee smell!

I love using wood pellets but I think it doesn’t control the smell as well as yesterday’s news. There could be other reasons like different food etc but I’m not a fan of pine smell either. But don’t get me wrong I love the wood pellets!

    Help I Overgroomed my bunny

Thank you. I have a similar one but I didn’t think it worked well but this site suggests wetting it first. I’m gonna try that on the lionshead first then the baldy one when it’s been grown back and a brushing is really needed

    Help I Overgroomed my bunny

I got way too zealous with the fur buster but down was flying all over the place and I don’t brush him often. Well I’m a horrible bunny caretaker for this but now he’s got a sore bald spot under his hair. I know it will grow back and he is still hoping around but it’s not great. Is there...

    Eating Dry poops and Cecotropes

He’s still doing it. I don’t know if he just can’t tell the difference sometimes or if sometimes they can have A bunch of the dry pellets that come out around the same time. I’m attaching a pic of the ones he recently tried to eat. As you can see he started to eat it and then maybe stopped cus...

    Eating Dry poops and Cecotropes

I’ve caught my lions head rabbit eating what I thought were Cecotropes buy them I can see the dry fecal pellets crumble out of his mouth or stuck in his beard. He’s a little large and not super nimble (he’s about 4-5) but not old. He’s just not spry. has anyone ever seen this type of behavior or...
