    Goodbye Millie.

Saturday 25th February 2006- Wednesday 13th May 2009. Millie/Baby Mills/Mills. The sweetest little bunny in the world passed away from us this morning, after we took the decision to put her to rest. She was only three years old, but she suffered a heart failure yesterday. She has left behind...

    Cooling a rabbit?

Just thought I'd say that she went back to her normal self, and is now eating and drinking, and all the usual things. Thanks! :]

    Cooling a rabbit?

Thanks for advice. She is longhaired, yes (her fur has an angora quality to it, but she's actually a holland lop). I've been offering her vegetables throughout the day, but she hasn't taken any yet. She's drinking the water though, but now actually feels rather cold as opposed to hot. I will...

    Cooling a rabbit?

I tried the scruff test thing, and it didn't take any time going back into it's usual place/didn't sag or anything (though it was hard to see through her mass of fluff). A couple months back she managed to knock out one of her bottom teeth, which we took her to the vet for. She's acting very...

    Cooling a rabbit?

Can't seem to find the pinned topic on cooling down your rabbit in the summer months? I'm sure it was around, has it been taken down? Looked in the library/101 things, couldn't find it :/ Asking because I think my bunny may be a little dehydrated (due to my dopey mum leaving her out to play for...

    Keeping magpies away? D:

In my garden, we have large conifer tree's that the thrushes and blackbirds nest in. We've got a few out there now, but the thing that's bothering me is that this pesky magpie keeps coming down, and sticking it's head in one of the nests, obviously aiming to get one of the eggs, or baby birds (I...

    Do rabbits fart?

    >____> I found it extremely cute, but my boyfriend thought it was gross when I told him.

what do you call your rabbit

I call Mai Mai and Millie 'little schwee's' (because they make that noise when they're happy). Mai gets called 'honker' alot, or 'baby honks', because she's very vocal. Millie - 'Baby Mills', because she's too cute, and 'little grunter' because she's a grunty lil' piggy :3

    Do rabbits fart?

I'm sure I've seen a similar topic somewhere, but is it a myth that rabbits can't actually fart? I'm sure i've heard Mai Mai let out some... suspicious noises once or twice. :D

    Bunny lost a tooth?

Awww. Glad your bucks tooth is okay now. Mai's lip/gum isn't bruised or swollen looking, though I never found the missing tooth, nor do I know exactly when she did it, or on what. I'm still keeping an eye on her, and she's asleep at my feet as I type. I don't know where I'd be without the...

Thank you very much for the quick reply, and will do. :]

    Bunny lost a tooth?

I've just noticed that one of my rabbits seems to be missing a bottom tooth (the large incisor type ones you can see when you open their mouths) I only noticed because she was laying on her back with her mouth slightly open. I think she may have lost it around a month ago, when she was down in...

    Rumbly tummy

I didn't want to post too soon and tempt fate, but thankfully, Mai is okay now. I moved her into my room where it's warmer, and fed her kale and hay, reducing her pellet intake and gave lots of tummy rubs. She perked up around two days ago, and she seems fine now. Her poo's are back to normal...

    Rumbly tummy

She's sort of long haired, but I groom her everyday to get rid of any loose fur, so that she doesn't ingest it. Is infacol okay for rabbits? Do you just give it them as it is, or mix a drop in with the water?

    Rumbly tummy

I've decided to post a new thread on here, rather than continue the one in the general rabbit forum. Basically, for a few days my lop albino bunny hasn't been acting herself at all. I thought it was due to our cat passing away, as they were friends. She's usually very bubbly, but she's been...

    Mourning?

She seems to be picking up, but if she goes back to how she was yesterday, i'll take her down. I've checked her teeth, they seem to be fine, but i'm not letting her out of my sight at the moment, and keeping her warm, encouraging her to eat/drink and play. I've been looking at the thread on GI...

    Mourning?

I got her out at 5;00am this morning, and there was a significant improval in her behaviour, and fresh poo's in her hutch. She's more active than yesterday, but still laying down. I'm keeping a close eye on her, but she only seems to eat if i hand feed her, and will only drink if i hold the bowl...

    Mourning?

It's too late to get to any vet right now, and I don't have the money to call out an emergency vet. I'm taking her down at 9:00am in the morning tomorrow, and I'm keeping a very close eye on her, as I know bunnies can go downhill very quickly. I really hope she's okay overnight, I'm going out...

    Mourning?

Today she hasn't eaten or drank at all, but she is pooing and weeing okay. She's definitely not right today. Although the 'mourning' behaiiour has been on and off it only ever lasts a few hours a day. If she's not fine by the morning, I'll pop her into the vet.

    Mourning?

I'm sort of worrying more now, because she keeps sitting down. She's been out 2 1/2 hours today and hasn't played at all and is acting very tired, as opposed to just being a little depressed. Is perpetual laying down a sign of stomach pain? She's only 18 months.
