Opinions on Compressed Bales - any difference for the rabbits ?

Any schools of thought that compressed hay isn’t good for rabbits ? I just remember early on hearing not to use Compressed Bales. Is it maybe just because you can’t see what else is stuck in with the hay? Is it just hard to pull apart ? Is it more “chopped” than regular bakes ? I am looking to...

Rabbit safe chew deterrent? Lemon , Vinegar?

Oh - I have no objection to that! Thats a great idea to try & . I DO think I will reserve it for a cherished piece of furniture - or heirloom I LOVE you said to let him enjoy it in his "rabbitish way" - true - it IS HIS - haha - and trust me - my house has been converted into a bunny...

Rabbit safe chew deterrent? Lemon , Vinegar?

I bought a plastic wicker cubby plant stand for my rabbit. I took a chance bc it was a little $$, but I observed him and he seemed to just go in it & not chew it. Well now he's decided he DOES want to chew it! He doesnt "eat" it, but destroys it. It has a VERY LARGE "window" in it now! I...

RHDV2 and produce from infected areas.

I searched the posts, but did not see anything addressing this, so feel free to just direct me rather than answering if you know theres something that will answer my questions. I know the areas that we are to avoid greens & hay etc from....but those areas are the ONLY places I can find produce...

I would LOVE any PHOTOS or IDEAS for housing TWO unbonded buns?

Thanks. Happy New Year to you too. I have seen these on Amazon....I think my buns are too aggressive for this. They lift up my heavy xpen bc they have gotten out in the past and are convinced they can escape anything. (thats why I hate having them share "out" time. They are both unhappy...

I would LOVE any PHOTOS or IDEAS for housing TWO unbonded buns?

Ooh...more ideas. That one photo or the repurposed table? I think - looks like it has refrigerator shelfs for two of the sides. Well, this gives me something to think on during the rest of the COVID stay inside days! I am going to start designing (and looking for some furniture to possibly...

I would LOVE any PHOTOS or IDEAS for housing TWO unbonded buns?

I think you DID get Lucky!! I had two boys before these and they were fine. Never thought they wouldn't "eventually" get along. As I said its been close to 2 years. My husband has been very patient with me dedicating a large part of our space to our buns....he loves them too. Its just not...

I would LOVE any PHOTOS or IDEAS for housing TWO unbonded buns?

They are both neutered males, Both almost 2 yrs old now and I've have them both since they were 12 weeks old. I've tried everything to bond them ever since they were neutered to no avail. I would be interested in knowing what your "quarantine" method is. I have separated them for a...

I would LOVE any PHOTOS or IDEAS for housing TWO unbonded buns?

I like that idea. I don't want to cover the window bc they do look out. I like that idea....and having a shared area to the left instead of protruding "into" the room. It makes good use of the space. Is that a setup you have (without the drawn on) or was that a photo you found? I am...

I would LOVE any PHOTOS or IDEAS for housing TWO unbonded buns?

I have two unbonded buns and they both SHOULD be whole house buns, but they can't be out together. I have tried to find a home for my second with no luck yet. I am struggling to fine a creative way to house them both. I love the cool setups - but I don't have much room for two large...

Neighbor's rabbit is hurt and in very bad condition, How to help ?

Kudos to you! You did your good bun deed for month for certain!! This was so disturbing to read.....but unfortunately - it goes on WAY more than people realize. Stories like yours are why I got invovled in Rabbit Sancturay myself.

Hmm...bun ear.....what does this appear to be on it?

Thanks for you take on it. I've never seen ear mites - and I know it can be ON the ear....but it seems it begins WITHIN the ear which in this case is clear. (I looked online to see what they look like and they show all these severe cases - hard to know what they look like in the initial...

Hmm...bun ear.....what does this appear to be on it?

Thanks. It does appear to be getting better. I will try a little Neosporin - I initially tried some mineral oil in case it was mites. But since its not down IN the ear - I think your are correct. Makes sense, but its helpful to get another opinion. Thanks.

Hmm...bun ear.....what does this appear to be on it?

Just noticed it all of the sudden (could have missed it developing though, he is a lop ear - so his ears are always down...... Its only on ONE ear....and there is nothing down IN the ear.... It almost looks like a "brush burn" that a child would get though Its very orangey in color, not red...

    Recommendations for Alfalfa Hay ????

I have a young foster still on Alfalfa Hay and every one I've bought so far is as though it's "chopped" and ground with hardly any stalks. Do most people put theirs in a BOWL ? What brand actually have a little "spaghetti" for the buns ??!!

Is it possible to bond two unneutered bunnies?

Even if it seemed you were successful, I would never trust that bond. How would you feel if you wake up to one badly injured bunny or worse. Just not worth it. Even if you "try" it and it seems successful - you don't want to chance it with hormonal bunnies .
