Good bunny mimics Bad bunny behaviour

I have two bunnies Mocha and Choo who are both around the same age. Choo is female and spayed whilst Mocha is male and neutered. Choo had a bit of a bad temper and doesn't like people ever since she was a baby. Getting her spayed did not help much. Mocha is a sweetheart and aside from being...

Mounds of poop and puddles of pee everywhere.

So it looks like Mocha turned out to be a boy lol. I did have him neutered and he still does this. Am I to just assume he is untrainable? I got another little bunny named Choo and she is spayed. She is litter trained and rarely poops outside her cage when I take her out to play. But she is a...

    Bunny has WORMS?!

Alright well I'm taking mocha in tmr and choo as well just to check that she didn't get infected by him. The vet said it would be ok to keep them together...but I'm not sure I want to do that.

    Bunny has WORMS?!

Thanks for replying everyone. Great info. Do I have to get the de-worming meds from a vet (vet visit). Or can I purchase from a pet store or just explain the situation to my vet over the phone and pick some up?

    Bunny has WORMS?!

Can worms be passed on to humans? So I should lock him in his cage until it's gone and keep it really clean? Could this be caused from his food dropping in his poop and then eating it again?

    Bunny has WORMS?!

Just wondering how bunnies can get worms and whether or not this is harmful to them (what it will do to their health). I recently brought home a new bunny, Choo, who eats a lot of hay and has very "dry" poop, whereas Mocha eats a lot less hay and his poop is a little wet (but still stays in...

    My bunny does not trance

@ Spikethebunny So, the vet showed you how and the bunny wasn't kicking and strugging? Do you mind explaining how the vet did it? Maybe i can try it on mine.

    My bunny does not trance

Lol good to know i'm not the only one with these trancing troubles. I've tried the bunny burrito as well and that doesn't seem to work either. I've also tried to cut them while he's eating a treat and inconspicuously cut them while he's sitting there, but he caught on after a while jumps to...

    Training bunnies?

Oh I just found out my bunny is a boy, so his peeing must actually be him spraying.

    My bunny does not trance

IAlways hear people talking about putting bunnies into a "trance". I read somewhere that it is actually not good for the rabbit. It is it's last line of defence and is playing dead to protect itself. I read that when a rabbit is in this state and monitored, that it is fully alert and not in a...

My bunny does not seem to eat his hay?

possibly, if your bunny is a younger one. I bought square bales of hay for my bunny and he didn't seem to like it as much when he was younger (4 months and younger). He did eat a bit of it (just the fine hay not the coarse hay), but not much, so I ended up going to the pet store to buy still...

    Bunny meet Bunny

ACK! After I noticed more humping from Mocha, I decided to double check that she is indeed a girl. I can never check her on my own because she won't go into a trance, so my BF held her while I took a peek. SHE IS DEFINITELY A BOY! Now all the affection and peeing/pooping everywhere makes...

    Training bunnies?

I have the same problem with both of my bunnies. Neither can pee in the litter box all the time and the poops are EVERYWHERE. Getting my older one spayed in a month. Excited to see what the results will be then, though young bunnies are harder to train.

    Bunny meet Bunny

So I had them separate the first couple days to make sure they weren't going to kill each other. Mocha (my first bun) was curious like crazy sniffing that whole area. I finally introduced them and they seemed to get along fine (sniffing at each other). I put their cages beside one another...

is a bunny better off solo or in a pair?

I have a 5 month old bunny right now and just brought home another one yesterday. They are both females. The new one is 4 months old. I have been keeping one in a playpen/cage and the other in her cage condo with free roam most of the day. They are doing well and are quite curious and interested...

    Safe Trees for Bunnies

I want to make some toys and hidey homes out of tree branches for my bunny. Are Birch Tree branches safe to use? If not, which ones are?

    Strange dinner time behaviour!!!

Yep totally normal. My bunny will take her treat and run around with it, stopping in different spots. It's as if she's trying to find a safe place to eat it so no one will steal it from her.

    Bunny meet Bunny

Lol thanks Nancy...yes patience is a virtue. I am getting my bunny spayed soon, but the new one won't be old enough yet. Should I keep them separate and just allow them time together with supervision?

    Bunny meet Bunny

I recently bought a bunny (and love her so), but I feel guilty when I'm not home all the time accompanying her. She seems to enjoy herself most times, and there typically is someone home (though they're busy working so she doesn't get much attention then). She has free roam of the house and I...
