I wish I had time to reply today...but I didn't. Hopefully i will be able to continue this later.

    BunTastic!

Tiny’sMom post number 2. Well, I think that I addressed most of this in my first post. If you want to know about me, well I crossed the 40 year line a while back, so I am no child. Obviously I’m not a PETA member or anything…hmmm bacon. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t be alive today...

    BunTastic!

Tiny Post one - I’ll try to address some of the things you said here. To begin, I do know some of the history behind rabbits generally and behind specific breeds (where they came and stuff like that). I AM NOT AN EXPERT, nor do I claim to be. Certainly the ARBA has been around for a very long...

    BunTastic!

Wabbitdad12 - Actually, I’ve never said I find breeding of rabbits offensive. I’ve only ever been concerned about the conditions that rabbits live. Of course there are abuses in either the ‘pet’ setting and in the ‘breeding’ setting. There are far to many stories to even try...

    BunTastic!

I’m certainly not too big to admit when I am wrong. I didn’t see or remember the section about unacceptable behavior (I did look for it, but only briefly). It appears that moderator would delete a section about rabbit recipes. Also, for the record, it appears that something is done about...

    BunTastic!

I had started a reply to this...but it got a little long so I will only talk to a couple of points. Thank you for the response. There is no need to apologize for a long post. Sometimes it takes time to make a reasoned response, such as yours. “Responsible breeders spend a lot of time and...

    BunTastic!

Its been awhile since I’ve updated my blog. Actually, its been awhile since I’ve been to active on RO. My bunnies are doing fine. Popeye is doing well. His heart condition improved a little bit, probably due to the medicine. But I’ve been thinking a lot about RO lately. To me, RO...

    Free Roaming Rabbits

Here is something to start with... http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/rabbit-proofing.html I hope the link works. There are a lot of things to think about in having a free roaming rabbit. There are so many things that they can get into. They are a) very smart critters and b) can be VERY...

    Update on Popeye

I've been away for a while. Popeye is doing well. I took him for a checkup with the heart specialist. They said that his heart function has improved slightly, probably due to the medications. There really isn't any chance of any meaningful improvement with this kind of heart condition...

    Life more interesting?

It amazing that some times the simple things they enjoy most. My buns have had fun with paper bags (NOT PLASTIC!!), grass mats, paper towel rolls, boxes, wicker baskets or wicker balls, and sometimes the carpet, but I do my best to discourage that last one.

    litter box

You should never use the same litter for your rabbit that you use for cat. Cat litter can be very dangerous to rabbits. Rabbits are very different from cats and VERY different needs than cats. Also, it seems that you are going to have a free range bun, have you bunny proofed any area...

herding him back to his cage!

I give my rabbits a bit of a wheat thin as a treat. Before I give them a treat, I shake the box to let them know that they are getting a treat. If they are running around the house and its time to go back in the cage, I shake the box to get their attention then walk towards their cage room...

    Minnesota Madness

There are so small, and I bet they are so quick, that in one second they are gone. There must be a billion places to go. Looks like in a couple of weeks they will be the size of my Bert!

    Minnesota Madness

I wish I could take one of the babies - but since A.) u r a million miles away and B.) I'm not doing so well with the trio I have, I should just stick with what I have. They are such pretty little babies! Do they get into EVERYTHING?
