So about this time last year I was having issues litter training my adult buck (unaltered). We finally figure it out and it went well til about January. Since then he's been messing wherever he is but using the litterbox about 75% of the time. Now he's not using it at all. I switched littler...
He's gotten along with other rabbits in the past but they were usually under 6 months old.. I'm not having him fixed as the closest vet wants a ridiculous amount of money that I don't have right now. I was just hoping there was a chance it would work :( Thanks for the advice!!
Hi there. I have a 4 year old un altered buck. He's not very territorial and has gotten along with all of my pets. I have the chance to adopt a male(fixed) dwarf and I was wondering what my chances of bonding them are. Thanks :)
No swelling at all, no crustiness, nothing. I do remember him saying something about rabbit syphilis. No x-rays as he said since it's been going on for so long nothing internal could be causing it without him showing other symptoms. I have the corner boxes which are low sided and he goes in all...
I had to put him on a wire thing in his litterbox and get a sample, they said they tested for protein something or other, infections and some other stuff. I'm assuming they checked what could be the cause since I told them thats why he was in.
Okay so I finally got around to measuring. The litter pans are 16x31.5. he can stretch out in them and almost touch the two sides. He's a short 4 lb rabbit haha. Also he has been in for a check up and everything is fine. Ugh I'm at wits end with litter training again.
I have a friend who is in exactly the same situation. She's just started telling him even when he's mid sentence that she knows what really happened. Turns out he thought she was too god for him and was trying too impress her, even after being together for years he thought she was going to...
he was used for breeding in august.. It was within hours of bringing him home. I haven't noticed anything and he goes in certain spots.. like right along the litter box in the corner is where he pee's but I watched and he's not going in it and hanging over. purposely using that spot and he poops...
they could be bigger? and I mean inches not sure.. I'll measure them tonight :) It was as soon as I brought him home from breeding. within hours of being home I noticed. I use pine shavings in his cage and I have just hay in one box, yesterdays news in another. boxo in the other 2, hoping maybe...
I have corners ones that are for a very large rabbit. Like my french lop used it with no issues and the rectangle ones are about 18x 12.. he's a 4 pound mini rex lol I think they're morre then big enough. I'm thinking it might be because I used hiim for breeding.Everything seemed to start...
I give my guy like 2 spinach leaves a week .I've never had problems but he has a huge variety in his diet so it may upset him less. I would assume it could be from him being sick. maybe hold off on introducing new foods since his belly probably isn't back to normal yet?
