    Separating buns for medical reasons?

Hello, My sweet holland lop Bailey has never ending eye problems. We finally got her indolent eye ulcer healed after months of appointments. Yesterday, I noticed her eye was red and inflamed (I’ll attach the picture). Her brother, Java, will not stop licking it! I know he’s just trying to help...

Should I still give 0.5ml twice a day? The vet warned that it might cause her GI upset

Rabbit not eating after vet visit

My holland lop, Bailey, hasn’t been eating much since her ophthalmology appointment. She had a diamond burr procedure done to treat her indolent eye ulcer which I imagine was pretty painful. The vet gave us metacam to be given (0.5ml twice a day). Bailey took the first dose willingly, but...

    eye infection???

Hello - my holland lop, Bailey, is currently being treated with penicillin injections for her syphilis. We started off with daily injections, and moved to weekly injections of a higher dose. She has 2 injections left. This morning, I noticed her bad eye was crusty and red. She had surgery when...

    Dry bald spot under chin

So the dry spots turned into sores and I knew it was time to see the vet. He diagnosed her with syphilis 🥺 very sad bc she must’ve had it for awhile and this was a flareup. The vet gave us PenG injections daily for 7 days. Will this cure it? or does it just treat the flareup?

    Dry bald spot under chin

Hello! I noticed a bald spot under Bailey’s chin last night while she was eating her greens. it’s right where her chin meets her neck. It’s not huge but I noticed some dry patches on the revealed skin. Could this just be from her scent glans (she chins a lot) or is it a skin infection worth...

Bonding - Stuck in the same place!!

I travelled home to my parents’ house a few days ago and they were in the carrier together for the 2.5 hour drive with no issues. They are staying separate in the basement, but they seem to be doing much better here bc it is completely neutral. They’ve been sharing a salad together every night...

Bonding - Stuck in the same place!!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy. A little about my bonding journey: In February, I adopted a 4 year old spayed holland lop (Bailey) for my 5 year old neutered fuzzy lop (Java). The shelter housed them together for a week and I was told to house them in neutral territory...

    Rabbit scratch under eye

Hello! I'm currently in the bonding process with 2 buns and they got into it this past weekend. My holland lop, Bailey, came out of the fight with a small bleeding scratch right under her eye. It didn't seem to be bothering her, so I figured it was okay. As the days went on the eye looked like...

    Bonding- Please help!

Okay so an update: I haven’t completely separated them yet. I have allowed them to still sniff each other through the gate and it has become a lot less aggressive. They frequently come up to each other to sniff and clean themselves next to each other. Is this a sign that I can try again? or...

Bladder issue or not litter trained?

It’s just the litter boxes from target. The pee is never right next to the litterbox it’s always on the other side of the room or on the rug, etc. Which makes me think she’s either marking her territory or she just goes when she needs to
