Haha, no pumpkin pie in England, no. Well, I'm sure somebody somewhere has made it, but it's not synonymous with autumn like it is in America.

    2nd Edition of 3 Questions

    1. Babies (they all smell so warm and new - I sound creepy now), petrol, anything wintery (frosty air, anything cinnamon-y or apple-y, christmas dinner cooking, log fires) and wet grass. 2. Spiders, clowns and any insect that is big and fat but still flies and makes that hideous buzzing...

    Lila had her baby!!

Let her out. Rabbits don't babysit in the wild, they feed and leave so predators don't realise there are some easy meals in there. She needs to be able to get away from them.

    What do you read?

I only ever read romance and drama, or compilations of useless facts and figures.

    STOP CHEWING!!!!!!!!!!!

Does he know his name/are you using his name when you say no? Make sure he knows that the NO is for him, also maybe imitate a foot-thump straight after. If you're close enough you could also gently but firmly push his head to the floor and hold it for a second or two, this may remind him who is...

Random conversations with a 3 year old

Oh god I love toddlers. I have a three year old cousin, we were eating breakfast at IKEA once and trying to talk to him about nursery while watching all the people getting their drinks. Me: Are you excited to go to nursery? Kai: No. Me: Why not? Kai: Because they will turn me into coffee...

    I don't like my MIL

It's so good to hear people with stories about awful MILs, I only ever hear people saying how much they love theirs. My MIL resents my OH and his sisters because they "stole her youth", but being the only male, OH got the brunt of it and she used him as an emotional crutch until he met me. She...

    Why do I bother?

I am soooo proud of Harriet and Alfie! They paid *no* attention to the fleece AT ALL. They ripped up their phonebook, chewed up their cardboard and only today, when I was cleaning out anyway, did I see one little corner of fleece dug up. They had been digging in the litter box, but that's not...

    Hay mat

I would say cover up the wire. She may be going on the mat because she doesn't want to travel to the other side and hurt her feet in the process. Cover the base with some cardboard/wood/carpet etc and thoroughly wash the soiled mat and she should go back to her normal toilet.
