    How much water?

How much water does an average (5lb approx) rabbit be drinking on a daily basis... I am a little concerned for how much my rabbit drinks. He gets timothy hay (lots) and 1/4 cup of pellets daily. I use wood stove pellets as bedding as they are more absorbent than shavings or newspaper and he pees...

It could be splashing (he went through a few day bout of a lottttttt of peeing ( problem resolved!) where his litter box was practically flooded in a day so Im hoping it was from that.. I just noticed it when I moved him and never noticed it previously and there are no other animals in the house...

    Neutered and spraying?

I have a 1year/3mo old velveteen lop male who was neutered at 6months. I just moved his cage and noticed splatters of pee all up the wall ( to waist hight on me) behind his cage (this was his one level cage, before I moved him to the new hutch I posted a few days ago).. Can they, or do they...

New cage, can't figure it out..

So, I've upgraded my rabbit to a new house. It has two shelves (levels) for him to jump up. He has managed to get up to the top level, but can't seem to figure out how to get down.. and is going to the bathroom up there (not in his box, grr)and if he does he flings himself off the third level...

    Neutering Next Week!

I just went through a neuter surgery with Stew. They took fantastic care of him and sent me home with oral pain meds for the following three days. Just be sure to carefully monitor your bun after surgery. Mine refused to eat/drink/ go to the bathroom for almost 24hrs. At the 12hr point I brought...

our fix it at the vets didnt fix much.

Correct me if I'm wrong, But did you say your paying 99$ a rabbit for spay/neuter? If so, I'm incredibly jealous. I called around here and the best I can do is 180$... I'm still doing it of course, but !!!! As much as I love little buns, for my next, I will be adopting an already fixed rabbit...

What Colour and Showing- how to?

So, completely new to the rabbit world I just purchased a few months ago, my first rabbit, 'stew' a now 5 month old Velveteen lop, male (soon to be fixed!) I never got him with the intention of showing, but I used to compete with horses and now that I don't, I think it would be a fun thing to...

Rabbits and Wild Life.. sort of.. Mice!

Oh trust me, I don't plan on sharing my space with this little mouse, I'm not going to risk my rabbit, or myself.. that and the mess. No thanks! Just wanted to make sure in the mean time until I catch the darned thing, That my rabbit wasn't in direct horrible danger- because I would have...

Rabbits and Wild Life.. sort of.. Mice!

Thanks for your reassurance! Stew does make a lot of noise, especially at night so I can't see the mouse wanting to come around him, but I'll move him away from the wall. I do put a blanket over his cage at night so he knows its 'bed time' so hopefully that will keep the mouse out too...

Rabbits and Wild Life.. sort of.. Mice!

I've found a MOUSE in my house. ( My apartment is above a barn, so I'm not surprised) I've heard them in the walls all winter but never came across one or any signs that they were in side my apartment. Well I just went to get a drink from the kitchen and turned on the faucet and out jumps a...

    Bunny dating

I think that would be great! I have a soon to be neutered male who I'm hoping to get a friend once he is fixed, but I'm so worried that for some reason they won't get a long and I'll have to give the other bun up, or keep them separate.

    Behavior Change over Night

My bun does not like being picked up, and would run away from me if I tried when I first got him, or hide under something so it was impossible to catch him when he was out and took me hours to herd him into his cage. I started picking him up at random- be it while he was in his cage, or out...
