Hello everyone. I was wondering if a 6 by 9 ft pen (54 square ft) pen would be a large enough place to exercise a rabbit? There's an area in my house I'm considering making into a play area, but I want to make sure it's large enough first.

Thanks for the suggestions. No, I don't think he knows Bombshell was his old name. He doesn't seem to respond to it. I kind of like the name Cookie or Chip though, for some reason. Probably because they're cute names. :)

Yeah, lol. The rescue is called Tiny Paws Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, they're located in metro Detroit, and I'll probably only be fostering on bunny at a time, but I'll keep you guys updated on it lol

Instead, I'll be fostering for a local rabbit rescue. :) This means I'll have a chance to interact with different bunnies, and help find them new homes. :D

My basement consists of a room for my dad's computer, the big storage room where the cage will be, and a tv room with a bed in it. The storage room is pretty big and well lit. I've decided I'm probably not going to use the carpet. I'll probably try the flattened cardboard boxes like you said. Or if worst comes to worse, I'm just have the bunny on the cement floor. Old towels might work, too, but the rabbit might be able to chew on them.
