    Difference in care?

    I have no problems with our Lops.. The English are not a problem either, the biggest worry on their ears is them stepping on them and teaing them... But that is not as common as some would think!

    I think I am allergic to Tabitha.

    My husband is allergic to rabbit FUR... has been since he got his first rabbit for 4-H ummmm 15 years ago.... He takes allergy pills and is on 2 inhailers... The doc says his asthma stems from the allergy to the rabbits..and still we have 50+ he will not give them up so he stays on themeds...

    Worming rabbits

    I have about 50 (give or take with the babies I have) And never wormed them untill I got my 2 english lops. No matter what we tried they were not gaining weight so it was suggested to us to worm them.. We did, and they gained the weight they needed and looked alot better... (one was almost 1 lb...

    Most of mine do not "trance" either... lol I just have to hold them squriming to do what needs to be done.. I try to handle each one a couple times a week... (does not always happen since I have so many.... ) But I try!

    Worming rabbits

    I have never heard of a wormer paste for rabbits what we use is mixed with their drinking water and they get it maybe 2x a year.. ( can be given more often if thought it was needed.. but never felt WE HAD to do it...)

    ok here is my 2 cents... (as someone else said) lol I have a rabbit (or 10) that hates coming out of their cage, I have to pick them up pull them out and once they are out they are fine.. they just do not like comeing out of the cage... I can then flip them over, check for any absesses, toenails...

    Rosie, yes I agree that older rabbits that aregood natured ARE out there.... lol when talking Buns you will usuallyget me from a BREEDER point of view... any other animals you will findme leaning more towards a Shelter point of view.....     Hi!

    This is my opinion... so please take it as that.. If you get a baby/younger rabbit that is used to being handled it shoudbe ok.. if you go with an older rabbit it could already be "set in it'sways" and be used to being handled in a certian way... I teach anyone Isell a pet to how I PERSONALLY...
