I don't really have any posed photo's of him because he absolutely hates when he forced to do anything. he's very sassy lol. this is the best pictures I have of him.
she is pedigreed and the mother was supposedly very a good mom so I wanted her because I know ND can be hard to breed so I was hoping she'd have the same qualities. do you think I shouldn't get her?
I Currently have a netherland dwarf rabbit that's getting ready to be breeding age. he is a buck & a smoke pearl marten. I plan on getting a doe and breeding them for a 4H project. I'm looking at does to purchase and came across this little doll. would
she be a good color to breed him to?
so I ordered more silkie chicks in the mail this week. they got here today. I was expecting 6 silkies. I knew they would be sending "packing peanut" birds since my order was so little so that the birds would be warm and comfortable. I open the box today to find 8 Silkies and 11 MALE chicks. They...
I didn't mean don't touch them at all, I mean that's it's not good to have like strangers touching them because it makes the mom nervous. that's just what I read. haven't had the experience.
awesome. I think I will make the coop higher off the ground and put the food and water underneath the coop. does that sound good? I'm only starting with two and if the two work out, next spring I am going to expand and make a bigger coop and possibly try my hand at incubating some eggs. 😋
Do chickens need to have food and water over night? I plan to lock them up at night so if I put the food and water outdoor they won't have access at night. another question, do you let your chickens out every day at the crack of dawn? or will I be okay to let them out around 10 or so as long as...
thing is I priced everything out to build it and it's gonna be about $175 to build it.. plus the cost of my chicks and food. everything is so expensive these days. and it makes it even worse that my silkies won't roost or fly because it limits me to a short coop, on the ground so they don't have...
I'm getting two new silkie chickens this summer and instead of building them a new coop I was considering buying one. I found this one on Craigslist for $50 and I thought it was a pretty good deal. It is 8 in off ground, Main box is 24 in X 37 in
& Laying boxes are 12 X 11in. I would construct a...
in my opinion, a dog kennel is so much wasted space for a rabbit as they are only using the bottom floor. I think it would be super cool if you could build some Ramps and maybe more floors. also, make sure you have some type of housing for the bun, it might be scared not having anywhere to run...
your doe probably got scared from your children watching her. I've read they like to be secure and safe. and also it's best to have one person handling the kits, not multiple people. I've heard does can eat their kits if they're stressed.
