This is a question for those of you who have experience with wool breeds. I groom my jersey woolies every other day, sometimes more. However, Hooligan is starting to get mats, and tangles. So what should I do to keep his fur from matting? I use a soft bristle brush, and a shedding comb in their fur, I also have a spray on conditioner from BunnyRabbit.com. Thank you.

A slicker brush and a comb work well. Make sure you get down to the skin all over as that is where mats tend to start.
You could use a hair dryer on the cool setting to help find mats so you can brush them out. A blower can be used to open up the coat and it really helps get out the loose fur and dander.

If he is young, his coat is changing from a baby coat to the adult coat. You could shave him down and wait for the coat to grow back. Jersey Woolies are supposed to be easy to care for and not require too much coat maintenance.
