Best possible thing you can do is to leave themin their nest, particularly if they are not immediately threatened bysome predators or dogs. Mom visits kits no more than once, ortwice, per 24 hour period in order to feed. She stays awayfrom the nest so as not to draw predators' attention to it.Usually very aware of the surroundings and may have watched you abscondwith her babies.
High probability she will watch you put them back, too, if you act quickly enough and she'll deal with them properly.
